Big hugs thrifty, it's been happening to me too, but I keep reminding myself they're mishaps not disasters (2 bruised toes where a book fell directly onto them). Think the pilot light on the boiler's out again but found out when I was in the shower and had already applied shower cream. I've been using tepid water some days but not ice cold jets.8

Today I am grateful for an easy day, for getting some marking done, for my first attempt at caramelised onion chutney being okay, for picking a handful of rasps from the garden (yeah, I know I should have already put the garden to bed, oops!) to add to a stewed fruit mix, for dc managing all day at school.

Crazy busy day at work today, feel like I barely stopped, and I hardly got anything done from my to do list. Some important but useful meetings ticked off though. I also got a free vegan sausage roll from a colleague, it was lovely!
In terms of spends, my dad sent me a link for a book for Christmas. Found it half-price elsewhere (amazon seem to have discount on books atm) so I bought it. Also paid for my boxing class which I'm off to shortly. Feeling tired but am going to force myself to go as I'll feel better for it afterwards.9 -
Hope this is not too big. I am on my phone in my room in a hotel 3 minutes from Big Ben

Worked today 10-4, pretty boring as it was quiet. Returned unwanted expensive boots, so must remember to watch out for the refund. Small spend today on OTC meds, so still just 3 NSDs so far. All food from home, and the washing mostly dried outside in the chilly wind. Now finishing off on the airer.Grateful for lovely warm spot by the stove (well, the bit the dog isn't occupying anyway - it is amazing how much space a 4.5 kg dog can take up
) and apple and quince crumble with cream for pudding
Amazing photo @f0xh0les. I used to have to go to work meetings in a building with a view of that skyline.10 -
AWesome @foxholes.
It is so long since I was in London that when I was last there the skyline had neither of those two buildings!I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Sky garden - I was looking at it form my office window today @f0xh0les.
Spendy day - bought breakfast and worked in Pr3t for an hour.
Grateful for: my boss taking me for lunch in Millies, a walk through the city, and seeing some colleagues that I hadn't for a while, a seat from East Croydon on the train, and a call with my daughter.3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000

Very busy day, 55 declutter points for things out of the house or moved upstairs or downstairs or into cupboards. Would have been an NSD but at 4 pm I did a small food order which was delivered at 7 pm. Things I'd noticed were missing as I was organising and putting things away. So still on 2 NSDs, must try harder.
Grateful for yummy food, a good serial to watch in my rest breaks (I stop any time my temperature starts rising rapidly), kickking my house back into shape (only the vestibule so far but I did plant 3 nut trees).9 -
Hugs to those having an off day. The chaise is pulled up near the fire to toast your bruised toes.
Great view @f0xh0les. I've never been, but direct flights from our island are going to be starting up soon, so you never know 😃
Had a little lie in this morning, did exercises after my warm drink. Sewed the seam of DH's jumper that'd come unstitched, logged receipts in my budget book, then we went to collect the dehydrator. It looks impressive - 6 trays to dry things on. DH didn't fancy visiting the new cafe nearby, so stopped at L1dl for milk, then came home. He slept a couple of hours this afternoon, he's quite sore after having some staples removed yesterday, I sewed more of the blanket. It's getting there, putting the long strips together now. Did a bit of sorting before tea, washed up after & wound a few more threads onto cards. Had a soak in the bath with a face mask & my book. A colleague from work messaged about a dress repair I'd done for her. She paid by Bacs with an extra £15 in to get me & DH some chocolate 😍 we can choose some after his hospital appointment tomorrow 😃
Grateful for a warmer wind, so we didn't need to light a fire, kind colleagues, pampering & a lie inUse it up, wear it out
