Yes Renting. Pay Rent.
Understandably concern in this circumstance and the LL past poor actions.

Pay rent to landlord exactly the same as you did last month and the months before. You will not have to pay bank at all as the bank has the problem with the landlord not you. You only have to show you have paid the rent exactly as you usually do - you will be doing exactly the right thing. I understand the stress and if you pay exactly as you usually do you will be doing the right thing. Take care1

Just didnt want to pay LL and then be asked to pay again.
You keep saying this but once you've paid your rent, what makes you think you'll need to pay it again?

Just Insecure regard LL Past Actions.
Bank (morgage) take over Payment.
Paid LL then Morgage company want rent for same month for Example.

Perhaps you need someone to say it again
Pay your rent, you contract is with the LL. The mortgage information you have obtained is a contract between the home owner and the financial institution they have borrowed money with.
There is no link between the two.
As long as you don't pay in cash you have a record of the payment to the LL.
Any other reasons for not paying are just you trying to not pay.0 -

Thankyou for reply.
It is not me trying to not pay Rent.
Have always paid rent even though LL hasnt done responsibilities.
Genuine concerned risk loss of rent money.
Eg. LL no longer owned house.
Changes Contract have with LL.
Yes undestand the mortgage contract between the home owner and the financial institution borrowed money with.
Always Paid Rent from same bank. Transfer from my bank account to LL account.

- You will still owe the rent and your landlord can take you to court for the rent as well as probably additional interest and legal/litigant fees so you will end up paying even more.
- If you are in arrears because you are choosing not to pay the rent then the local authority will almost certainly consider you intentionally homeless and will have no duty to help you with accommodation.
- If you are in arrears then this will be reflected on any reference given by the existing landlord making it even harder for you to get a new tenancy.
As I think every single person here has told you, you must keep paying your rent and not doing so because of some unfounded perceived risk will see you entering a whole new world of pain.Every generation blames the one before...

I think people have potentially missed the fact that you pay your rent every 6 months (so 6 months rent in advance). Is this still the case?
If so, I believe your concern is that if you pay 6 months rent now, then the bank repossess, you could end up having to pay rent again to the new landlord (or bank) for the months you’ve already paid rent for.
If so, I would start paying your landlord monthly and not 6 monthly. Write to, or, email your landlord and advise them that you will be paying your rent monthly from the next rent due date and as long as you continue to pay each month, you won’t be in arrears.2 -

Binding. Can anyone please explain.
My understanding is the tenancy would be binding on the landlord's mortgage lender.
Living in the property when the landlord’s re mortgage was granted.
Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST)
Rolling. Periodic Tenancy0
