The mortgage problems are not (currently) your problem.  Continue to pay rent as failure to pay rent would accelerate the risk of you being legally evicted through the Courts.

Have you been looking for another property to rent?

You may be able to stretch this out, the property may well be sold with you as a tenant in situ which is why you may want to keep paying your rent on time.

It's all a bit of a gamble really.

On what basis do you think you are entitled not to pay your rent this month?

I am afraid that if you are forced to seek help with housing from the council, having sizeable rent arrears could mean the council will be able to say you are making yourself intentionally homeless.  It is grounds to have the council refuse to help you.

As already said, it is a gamble.

    Insecure, circumstances above.

Pay LL? Now I am aware of this notice to LL. Action house to be repossessed.

Trying to do my best. Vulnerable Place. very ill. When in that space easy to make poor decisions. Dont want to make a bad decision. Never want to make any situation  worse.

Didnt want to pay LL. Then to find have to pay again to bank
Thoughts Hold Rent aside to pay Bank.

@Petstalk, as everyone keeps saying, it's very important that you keep paying the rent (to the LL) as you've (very sensibly) been doing. It's clear you're feeling stressed and vulnerable (quite understandable in view of your health problems) but ceasing to pay the rent/holding it back is a bad idea and likely to make your situation worse.

Is there anyone you can turn to for a bit of moral and practical support through this? Friend or family member perhaps?

Take importantance  regards to responsibilities paying the rent.

Just didnt want to pay LL and then be asked to pay again.
