A suit for £15. Anyone ever wondered about getting what you pay for. "Cheap" is not the only thing important in this world.

And you can buy a chicken for £2 in Asda too - GREAT! - lets not think about that dreaded word of 'quality'.!

£17 for a suit and dinner. Where's my keys at...

had a look at these today and all I can say is, you get what you pay for. The quality isn't just rubbish, it's non existent
  • I saw these as well, truely awful! Nice shiney polyester.

If they have any fashion awareness then I would think they would rather go naked then risk being seen in anything from Asda.

I wouldn't expect him to wear it anywhere he'd be recognised by his peers. Just family funerals, etc. where he wouldn't have the nerve to complain. Actually I'm lucky neither teens are particularly fashion concsious as long as it's not 'chavvy'.

    Warning - Rant Coming Up

I am always amazed at the snobbery and me-ism that is displayed on this forum.

As far as I can see this thread is a perfect example of all that is good and bad about MSE.

GOOD - Someone highlights an item that others can buy at a low price and hence save themselves some money.
BAD - Some members feel the need to decry the item and show 'how much better' they are than others by suggesting that they would never buy the item, saying that it is rubbish, poor quality etc. etc.
ALSO BAD - Someone complaining that the item is not suitable for them in particular. Too small in this case but quite often I have seen people complain that it is too small, the wrong colour, not a branded product, etc. etc.

Why can't people just read the thread and pass it by if they don;t have anything constructive to add. Many people can not afford a £300 suit and that is why they are on this forum to find something at a price they can afford.

I saw these suits in Asda last year and even at £25 they look perfectly wearable and I doubt very much if anyone could tell that it cost so little.
Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!

I bought one of these suits when they did the same deal last year for my nephew. Have to say they are a good suit, look nice on, and have washed the trousers a few times and they still look as good. So they may be 'cheap' but they are not bad quality.:T :money: :j

Snobbery! Sometimes it is a question of recognising that such loss -leaders are just (ab)using the customer long term. When you can ONLY buy a suit from ASDA or Tesco, or their choice of book, DVD, CD or whatever, remember your contribution to the process that leads to you being derprived of choice. Have you noticed how much 'own brands' are replacing more traditional brands? By all means grab a bargain - but don't think the only price is that charged at the till.

Personally i hate suits but on occasion where i have to stuff one in a bag to take abroad and wear at a meeting i would rather do it with a cheap suit than an expensive one so thanks to the op for the tip!
