  • not bad if you are a catwalk model, but in the real world have you tied to get one to fit if you are on the larger size. i am 6 foot 2". and am a 52" chest and 50" waist, ok a bit on the larger side but in a ideal world and all that. anyway we hear every day that we are getting larger as a nation, why do they not make bigger sizes. asda do actually do xxxl sizes in shirts and tops and thats brill. but we can not walk around in just a shirt.same as the £3 jeans try getting them if you are over a 44" waist. so come on asda if you are going to sell clothes at this price, please make it fair and make size to fit all of us not just the skinny ones.

It may be that they are not cost effective to sell larger sizes at £3, and they would be accused of being fatist / sizist if they charged more for larger sizes.

The problem I have with parent/child (not mother/child as fathers can also look after children) parking slots is that this encourages people to take their kids to the supermarket, since they get priority parking if they have the kids with them. Why a couple cannot decide that one of them does the shopping, while the other takes the kids to the park / other activity, hence not taking the kids into the store, I don't know. The number of times you see a family trudging round a supermarket, kids bored or impatient, running off, getting in other people's way, crying, trying to add sweets and getting shouted at. There is any easier way.[/quo

well said , i totally agree with this to, back to the suits a good price but i hate wearing them, glad i dont have a job that entails wearing one.

but does this mean that they are fatist / sizist for not supplying these sizes?
  • I'm sorry but this isn't a very good post ... what happens if you are a single parent? I spent 3 years shopping with my son as I was a single parent. Then I met my partner and when possible one or the other goes shopping. However we live 218 miles apart and he also works away so I am still classed as a single parent with 2 children. I always shop when my eldest is at school so I only have my 7 month old with me. Oh and with all due respect not all children get bored/ impatient/ get in peoples way/ scream cry etc etc, mine are both very very well behaved and on the rare occasion my 5 yr old son does come with me then he enjoys it as he helps me with the shopping.

Oh and for the record I don't always use the parent parking ... sometimes I cannot be bothered to queue up and wait for the part of the car park to see if there are any spaces. I would much rather use the 2 things I was born with and park elsewhere and walk to the store! this is in all weathers ;) a bit of rain doesn't hurt no one :)

Anyway back to the suits, I presume these are also in the bigger sizes? or are they more expensive? My O/H could do with a new suit which may actually fit him :)
sorry to bother you but i did think this thread was about £15 suits from asda!!!!!
  • If you are a single parent, then of course you need to keep your kids with you. That is why I used the word COUPLE. I can't understand two parents and two or three kids going round a store taking longer than if one parent did the shopping. As to the argument of families only getting to spend time together at the weekend, do these families prefer to spend their "quality" time in ASDA, or one parent goes shopping while the other parent actually gets time with them say playing in the play area or going to the park?
£15 suits from adsa thats the thread, why not start a thread about store parking. as anyone got any coments on the £15 suit??

Speaking as a disabled driver myself, I wish I'd said that!

I keep a supply of business card size notes in my car. If I witness abuses of Blue Badges, or selfish parking, people will find one on their windscreen. It politely asks them to be more considerate of others.

I did once challenge a driver (in a big 4 X 4 - no surprise there) he said "I'm only going to be here for five minutes". That is of no help to genuine disabled drivers looking for a space during that time!

Can we keep it on topic please?

Anyone seen any of these suits? Also, what's with the "Black only" policy?
The smaller the monkey the more it looks like it would kill you at the first given opportunity.

If you are going to Asda be careful where you park. You thought it was safe to park at the supermarket, you thought wrong. Asda are going to 'fine' drivers who park in the wrong place. If they get away with it you can bet your boots the others will follow this new 'Gravy Train'. You have been warned - try somewhere else!

erm, mods, shouldn't the quoted post above be deleted as well seeing as the others relating to parking abuse at asda and elsewhere obviously have been

    Let's be consistent please
