T is one of the premium blocks, your one weekend block is at midnight to 3am.

As it happens, due to my working hours, I am mostly at home and awake at night (I usually get home around 11pm and don't go to bed until around 5-6am. I usually have a shower around 11pm and cook dinner around midnight and do the dishes not long after. I appreciate a lot of people are asleep at night but I'm not so regular night time blackouts would be a more of an inconvenience to me than a blackout during the day. It all depends on everyone's routine I guess.

we seem to have a lot of 'S' on the forum. can i check where everyone is seeing the letter? if it's this letter that you are seeing then i dont think that's it. either that or a disproportional number of people all live in the same area.

Similar to yours, but the thing that stood out is my bill from Octopus says its a postcode identifier, so its extremely likely that is it.

    Quote here.

    "Postcode area alpha identifier: S"

Our identifier is definitely S.  Still, if we do need planned power cuts, we're probably going to save more money than other areas with more sociable cuts

Incidentally the ESEC was last updated in 2019

Yep, as always I suppose its a numbers game, so sadly I made assumptions on what the masses would be doing, but I think its still a premium time slot as the load on the supply system will be low then so you are more likely to not even get a cut in that time slot.

Hmmm….under those plans we’d have a very chilly Monday and Tuesday with short charged heating overnight on both Sunday and Monday. Not exactly surprised to see that this is massively loaded towards GSH’d homes, but there you go!

Most GSH will not work in a power cut … boiler firing, pumps and valves all need power.

I'm apparently in block P, and they hate us almost as much as you S-ers; plus apparently we would get 4 outages whereas those in J and T only get 2. I bet those houses are in wealthy southern areas [yes I know that's stereotyping!] but I would love to see an actual map to assess just how fair this is.

I’m in R but finding it impossible to read those charts on my iPhoneSE due to the adverts & superimposed text boxes. I’ll try on the laptop later.
    Something to look forward to😏
