Good Afternoon all, another very chilly day here, but at least it was windy so the towels just about dried. Just need to finish them on the airer near a radiator for 20 mins or so.

Pleased to report that the debt total has now come down by another £1373, as we have paid off 2 more debts.  These were only small ones, so hoping we can still get some good deals on some of the bigger ones as the F&F pot fills up.

Had a productive weekend, I finished off the weeks cleaning jobs and DH managed to fix the hosepipe and stop the dripping.  Funny how he managed it now, as soon as he knows we are going on a water meter, and yet its been dripping for ages and he kept saying there was nothing he could do.  He also cleaned out the pond and refilled it and cleaned his motorbike.  Pity he didn't clean the car, as that is filthy and could do with a good clean. but hey ho, at least he started going down the weekend DIY list.  He also went into the attic and found that we do still have some wallpaper that is on the 2 walls of downstairs loo, as we will need to redecorate the wall behind the loo when the new one is put it next month.   Loo & basin have been delivered and  now awaiting our lovely plumber to fix it in place on April 23rd  Very impressed actually that the whole lot, including taps was under £300.

Sold an old pair of trainers on V*nt&d. So that will go into a saving pot when it comes through. DH also sold some old camera accessory, so we are doing well with decluttering and selling.

Also managed a relaxing hour while we were watching F1GP and finished my puzzle.  Was one of those shaped ones and seemed to take for ever. Put it to one side to pass on to a friend, and started on another one, which I think won't take half as long.

Had to put some petrol in the car today, and was pleased to see it has come down to £134.7, that's a 3p drop since last week.  Quick whizz round Mr M, to see what bargains they had, basically just needed a cucumber as I forgot to get one on Thursday, and DH had none for his sandwiches today.  Found some bargain bagged salad leaves for 10p, so grabbed one of those. So actually had a healthy lunch of salad and sardines.

Tonight's dinner is yesterdays left overs,  (chicken & veg & gravy) whizzed into some sort of stewy/soup.  I just tend to mix it up, add some herbs and have it with a slice of bread or sometimes a naan bread. Not done this weeks meal plan yet, so still got that to do in a bit.  Only other job still to do, is to steam the kitchen floor.

Only 1 P/fc study so far today, worth 10p!  Every little helps though. Will do a quick check of the others in a bit and see if there is anything there.

Well, that's about it from here, so off to check for surveys and steam the floor.
    Have a good evening

Ps, just editing to add that I just went into TCB and discovered that the cash back from insurance in December, has finally become payable, so just waiting for £102, to drop into bank in next few days.  Yay..!!

I am so upset...found out that DH bought a camera lens from the Bay of E, through K!arna!!!   So basically a loan, over 3 months!!!!  I just can't believe he would do something like that when we have just paid mortgage and trying to clear the rest of debts as well as saving.  He said he thought it would help his credit rating....I said we don't need credit, so what's the point?  And a camera lens!!??  Its hardly essential. He could have saved up out of his personal spends.  and he went behind my back as well, didn't even mention it to me.   And there was me worrying about the hearing aids and had just decided I would have to save up for them as didn't really want to have them on interest free credit, even if it did mean losing out on the 10% discount.

I can't even write any more now, I am just too upset.

Oh no 😟 Has he given a reason why he needs the lens? This is exactly the sort of thing Mr SA used to do pre illness. He used to pick the times we could least afford it to buy an expensive item on credit. I’m sure some people don’t think it’s real money if it’s on credit, Mr SA certainly didn’t think so. Could he pay the instalments out of his personal spends? It’s so frustrating isn’t it.

I agree he should pay the monthly installments from his personal spends otherwise no consequences to his actions.

I think putting something like hearing aids on 0% which is an aid is different to a camera lens so maybe give that second thought
