I can only sympathise. Mr LH used to do similar. Actually he still does occasionally but only for small amounts ( under £10). My sil however went and bought a new car without discussing it with my dd which meant a creit agreement. To say she was upset and angry is an understatement. Just in case you wonder they are ok now and I dont think he will ever do anything like that again.

Thanks for your comments. Yes, he has been paying it from his personal spends. I only found out as I logged into Credit Karma today to check how things look these days. He has never been bothered about that & happy for me to have his log in....obviously never thought I'd actually go in and check. Turns out he bought it in January.
He has said he regrets it & will pay it off immediately.  Turns out he has over £200 in his personal spends at the moment, so he has plenty and could have saved up for it quickly. We had a LONG discussion about it and he says he hopes I wont keep going on about it now....mmm...well that all depends if he keeps his promise not to do it again.  Think he could see how upset I was.

Get those hearing aids.  That is a totally different thing.  You wouldn't refuse to pay for a prescription if it was for medication you needed.   I look forward to reading all about them.  March into spring!!!  & hear those birds sing!!!

I agree that the cost should come from personal spends and wholeheartedly agree that hearing aids are not comparable to a camera lens.
    sorry you are upset.

Back again after  few more AWOL days.  Last week was a week I was glad to see the back of.
The DH incident has been discussed, until he said he wished I'd stop going on about it. I said well what did he expect me to do!!  He has cleared the balance & the Camera lens is in his cupboard....goodness knows when he will use it, he only takes photos when we go out anywhere or on holiday & then they are just uploaded to his computer & left there. Always seems  waste of time to me, and he takes about 10 shots of the same thing!  I have told him, in no uncertain terms, that if I ever find out he has done anything like that behind my back again, that will be an end to us as  couple....he thinks I am joking, but I'm really not.  We have now discussed financial things again, & we do appear to be on the same page again I think.

Also last week the dog barking from next door, which you may remember from last year, has got worse again, & the council are going to install recording equipment to monitor it. . They suggested I call RSPCA if I think the dog is in distress. I told them I had already done that, & they are not interested, even though it sometimes barks for 8 or 9 hours at  time. Even started about 5.45am now, which makes DH very grumpy....although I sometimes don't hear it from the bedroom.

On the MSE front, I got quite  few yellow/orange stickered items when I went shopping last week, so that helped with last week of budget period. I need to do next weeks meal plan & get shopping list written for next week.   Deciding between a Mr S delivery & pop in L!d!, or pop into both. I hate shopping, but not sure if the amount I need from Mr S will be over the £40 minimum order.
Water butt was delivered & installed, & DH is thinking of getting another one to put by the shed, if he can work out where to put it.  STW are coming next Monday to install meter.

Decluttering is continuing & we went to the tip yesterday with more old bits from shed & garage, and there is still more to go through.

Hearing aids still not purchased, as I am still in 2 minds as to whether I really need them yet, also not sure I will be able to put them in my ears ok.....and have this phobia about the end coming off & sticking in ear!!!.....silly I know.    Also I just can't bring myself to part with that much money.  Spoke to the audiologist though, & she has agreed to honour the discount for  few weeks, even though it officially ends tomorrow.

DD popped round yesterday & dropped of  card & flowers, they didn't come in, as DGS's 3 & 4 had  bad colds & DGS1 was home in bed with one.....lol.  There still seems to be  lot of viruses going around.

This morning we got out and cut  tree back, & I intend to do more gardening stuff this week. Had  bad shoulder/neck for a few days, so didn't want to do too much in one go

Well that's it for now. Enjoy the sunshine
