So, just a quick update, everything seems to be ticking along ok. Weather is overcast and damp today, so putting off any gardening jobs for another day or 2. Tomorrow's forecast looks like it might be reasonable.

Today hasn't been very money saving, as we both had dentist check up. and DH has to go back for a clean, and I had a temp filling put back in, so that pushed both of us into band 2, and cost us £141 in total!  I also had a hair trim this morning and put petrol in the car, and had to nip for a couple of grocery bits.
But on the plus side, the whole lot was budgeted for and available in various online savings pots, which it wouldn't have been a few years ago. And I was in Mr M's at just the right time to get 2 nice baguettes reduced from 90p to 18p and a 3grain loaf reduced to 54p. Then nipped in A*da and found reduced eggs. All things that were actually on my list and needed, and the excess bread can go in freezer. So not as bad as it could have been and at least its milder now and not needing heating on, other than an hour when we first get up.

Tried to update my signature again today, and it just won't let me do it for some reason. no idea why. Thought about deleting it all and starting again, but then thought if it was being temperamental, it might not even let me do that.  I hate it when my signature is not accurate. I wasn't trying to add anything extra to it, just delete some numbers and change them, its very odd.

Well that's about it, tomorrow is DH's pay day, so will be some moving of money and things.
    Have a good evening everybody

At one point, weren't signatures restricted to five lines, unless an older user? (with one already over 5 lines?) Forum is still glitchy though.
Ooh, I don't know,   I've had this signature for ages. All I was trying to do was change the amounts on some of the lines. Hope I don't have to make it shorter, I'd be very unhappy....

Maybe give it time. I manage to update mine, but I have less lines than you, as some things I've put in one line. I don't know what would happen if I tried adding lines!

EDIT:  tested adding lines it won't let me. I added some lines/spaces and a few words. I then couldn't save and got a 'signature is 2 characters too long.'  So I think they have possibly now imposed a limit on everyone for signature length? Argh.

@ladyholly I KNEW you were going to say Weston SM when you said 'sea goes out very far!'.  (Some of my family used to live there and I spent weeks at a time there in school holidays. It was sometimes surprising to actually see the sea!)

To be fair it could have been anywhere along this part of the coast as the river Severn has the 2nd highest tidal range in the world. What most people dont know is that when the tide come in here and in Burnham on Sea it comes in under the sand (mud) which is why it can be very dangerous and has caught many a motorist who parked to near the tide line and found their car under water if they could find their car at all. The lifeboat is kept busy in the summer rescuing people who get themselve stuck with a fast moving tide coming in. The highlight for local people was the year a police car got stuck. You would think they would know better.

I know what you mean about not seeing the sea. It can take days to catch it at high tide.

Aah, ok, thanks. So I need to condense it down a bit then. Will give it a try.

Think you were right @CoffeeSonata, looks like its the number of characters, not the lines.  I have had to cut mine right down

MrBC is fascinated by tides and always checks what the tide will be doing when we go down to our local seaside town.  We are just over an hour's drive from the south east coast but we now avoid Brighton as it is so busy, congested with traffic and hideously expensive to park.  It cost £18 for 4 hour's parking last time we went and that was right on the furthest edges of the town.
ps - MrBC now happily looking up tides at Weston super mare 😎

I hope Mr BC enjoys his WsM tide study. Of course they only say when the tide is high or low and the height of the tide.  They dont tell you you how far out they go. You certainly cant see the sea (river estuary) at low tide from the beach

I've also had to trim my signature down significantly, which is a shame as I liked it longer as it made more sense to me. But the character limit wasn't having it. When I'm eventually debt free I won't need a long signature anyways so I guess there's that...??
