Off for my covid jab in a bit then plan to do online jobs today & tomorrow.…spread sheets ready for 2027 & a few changes to our tranfers/savings pots, with a bit of tidying & sorting thrown in, depending how I feel after the jab. Was hoping to go out tomorrow with DD & DGS 3&4, but little one has a nasty cough, and although she still says she is going out, I don't want to catch it....and actually think she should keep him home so as not to infect others & make sure he's ok for school again after half term.

Need to nip to A!d* or L!d! while I'm out, for cheap oat/almond milk. Both are close to B00ts where I'm having jab.

Covid jab hurt like mad, but same as the flu one, I think its due to my arms not having a lot of fat on them…LOL Other than that, no other side effects so far, other than I do feel quite tired. I did take 2 paracetamol before I went, and have been drinking plenty of water. The pharmacist added my points fro me, so got a few ££ to spend in there at the moment.

Nipped into A!d! and managed to get some half price stickered raspberries. DH will love those with his porridge.

Just looking at higher interest savings account. Does anyone use Ch*s*? It says you need one of their current accounts to open a savings account, and the current account does cash back on spending. Are they any good? I always worry about banks I know nothing about. I opened a regular saver on NW, but of course, you can only have 1 at a time. ….just edited to add, I have just read that you need to have at least £1K in savings to be able to get the cash back on current account and do at least 15 transactions a month, so don't think this is the right one for me. Will keep looking

Did 2 studies on P/fc so far. Not sure how many more I will do, as not sure looking at the screen for too long is going to help if I am feeling too tired. Maybe time for some more paracetamol. Will see how I go.

Latest bill from the tentacled ones is showing us at £268 in credit and after this months payment, on the 24th, we will be almost £400 in credit. So that's good. Still not got the heating on all the time. Had it on for about 2 hrs yesterday morning and an hour this morning, just to take the chill off. At the moment I am sitting at laptop in the spare front bedroom where it is warmer, and wearing jeggings, leg warmers and a blanket over my knees, with cami top, long sleeved top, zippy fleece and body warmer and wrist warmers. Also a cup of coffee. If it gets colder later, I may pop heating on for a bit, but probably just wait and put gas fire on for half hour this evening. If I start to feel too bad after this jab, I may change my mind and put it on. It always feels colder when its so damp outside.

So onwards and upwards now, need to get on with some online stuff which will carry over till tomorrow as well, as have no plans to go out tomorrow, apart from maybe just a walk if weather is ok.

I love my ch * se account. Both DH and I have one and they are easy to operate and (touch wood) have always worked brilliantly . You don't need to have it as your main account or switch. You can set up 10 named savings accounts which pay 2,25% interest. I use mine for building up funds in my various pots. Yes, you get cashback on your spending which is a nice bonus and it does automatic round up from spending into a separate pot. I use the cashback and round up money to boost my monthly odds n s*ds savings. Now it is offering a regular saver account. So, I would recommend ✅

Have you found a regular saver paying higher interest and/or a higher deposit?

I have a number of regular savers with various banks and buildings, which works well for me, as well as some easy access savings accounts.
