Easiest calculation is 8% per annum (compounded) ... technically it's BoE base rate plus 8% but easier to just use 8% given that historical base rates over the last 5 years have been very low.

    Example:

    Amount owed £100
    After 1 year = £100 + (£100 x 0.08) = £108
    After 2 years = £108 + (£108 x 0.08) = £116.64
    After 3 years = £116.64 + (£116.64 x 0.08) = £125.97
    After 4 years = £125.97 + (£125.97 x 0.08) = £136.05
    After 5 years = £136.05 + (£136.05 x 0.08) = £146.93
    Done!

It worked out to be a little higher because the amount owed was £111.

    Thanks

Well done. There is no reason why you can't complain to the BPA about UKPC's negligence in failing to pay on time, especially as that is precisely how their trade association member and indeed all their other members operate.

You could also make the same complaint to your MP.
