They have stated that they will be paying the amount ordered in court 5 years ago.

Should I tell them to include the interest or has that shipped sailed now??

I would add the interest and ask for the new total to be paid within seven days.
The only problem with that is you will have to decide what to do if they fail to comply with your reasonable request.
If you have correspondence from them such as their original amount claimed that includes interest, then refer them to that.
What's good for the goose and all that.
I married my cousin. I had to...
    I don't have a sister. :D

I've not gone back through the thread - why are they 5 years late paying the judgment? Why has it taken you 5 years to enforce it?

Yes and given what legals apply according to the courts .... 8% interest over 5 years ... guess who coming to dinner ?

What can you expect from a Rupert Bear set up ?

Initially couldn’t find the judgement and then didn’t get around it after that.

Their second failed attempt to extort money from me prompted me.

I don’t have any previous correspondence because they never acknowledged the order.

I’ll add the interest and give them 7 days..

Easiest calculation is 8% per annum (compounded) ... technically it's BoE base rate plus 8% but easier to just use 8% given that historical base rates over the last 5 years have been very low.

    Example:

    Amount owed £100
    After 1 year = £100 + (£100 x 0.08) = £108
    After 2 years = £108 + (£108 x 0.08) = £116.64
    After 3 years = £116.64 + (£116.64 x 0.08) = £125.97
    After 4 years = £125.97 + (£125.97 x 0.08) = £136.05
    After 5 years = £136.05 + (£136.05 x 0.08) = £146.93

  • Surely if the PPC have submitted a claim which you have defended they already have your name and address to send the cheque to ! Another delaying tactic or hope that you don’t follow up

Proof that PPCs monitor this forum, methinks.

Are you legally required to respond to an unsolicited text from an unkown source?
If you were an unregulated private parking company known for doctoring time stamps on their photo' evidence and in the same position, you might be tempted to delete all trace of that message and deny it was ever received, then issue a warrant of control.
They all read this forum, how else would they know they bring crap cases

Remember BWLegal and the bod who put so much rubbish on their web site about this forum ... keyboad warriors they called this forum.
Well if it took keyboard warriors to get BWLegal spanked in court many times, that's what we are ?

Problem right now is that DCBL are following in BWLegal's footsteps but they chicken out with their famous line "discontinue"

7 DAYS FOR UKPC TO PAY INCLUDING INTEREST
Jenni has given you the amounts

Failure will mean a court bailiff will call and if UKPC do not have the money, goods will be seized and sold off so you get your money.

It costs around £100 to instruct the court bailiff but that is added to the debt.so you will get that back
