The mailbag I've just mentioned was one of my missing/overdue bundles.   The other one also arrived today and it's one of the cardboard sleeves that they are calling a DVD box.   Wonder if they arrived later than the bundles of letters because they are made-up by a different team who had to wait for supplies/books/RFID ?

This DVD package has 5 x 2nd class stamps on it so I'm guessing that it's meant to be 2nd Class Small Parcel with an overpayment.

The name of the recipient looks rather like a username in this thread....
I need to think of something new here...

Thanks kerri, I thought the same about the cardboard box.  :0)

I took a few mailbags to post from Kantar and the PO clerk told me to leave the manifest on top of the mailbag, on the floor in the corner where parcels are handed in. I did leave the bag in the corner but I tucked the manifest under the zip tie.

It's a very busy PO, perhaps she decided she'd scan the barcode when convenient, to save me waiting in the queue. Don't really want to go to another PO (there's one that's real close to where I live but I know the clerk personally).

Thanks NBL, yes, it might be that they scan all the parcels in one go.

I used to fold the manifest so that just the barcode was showing, before tucking it into the black tie. My thought was to make it harder for them to see the date on the manifest, which is of course earlier than the actual posting date.

Looking at the mailbag that's arrived this morning, the black tie is far too tight for me to be able to tuck the manifest in.

I've never had anything to send but today received stamps with a compiments slip enclosed reading:

'You weren't selected to be a sender during the week of April 3rd but we did not forget about you. Enclosed you will find your additional reward stamp booklets for the month of March'

Nice that they're paying me to do nothing!

Hi I'm really hoping that someone can please advise me.

I have received two parcels that I have to take to the post office to post on Monday.

Unlike the letter bundles though, there are no codes on either of the parcels to report so I don't understand how I am supposed to report that I've posted them. On the letter that came with one of them it said to "remove the band" before posting but there is no band, it's just a box that contains a dvd (says this on the letter that came with it) with five first class stamps on it.

The second one is in a drawstring bag and I have no idea if I'm supposed to open this bag or just give the whole thing to the post office. This one also comes with  documentation that I think I'm supposed to give to the post office staff.

I never use postal services normally (goodness knows what I'm going to do with all these stamps) so I'm very naive/stupid when it comes to this.

I really do not want to do anything wrong or mess it up so I would really appreciate any help.

I received my missing item due to be posted on 3rd April today - a whacking great box containing a sack which feels like it has two books in it, plus an envelope with the manifest and the usual sheet of paper with QR code etc that we get with all items.  Not exactly light, and I have to carry it up a big hill lol but suppose I will manage.  My post office scan the manifest and then staple it to the tag on the sack - I then put it with the other parcel sacks in the back corner.  Cutting it a bit fine with the delivery today for posting Monday, they are much better at sending the bundles of letters for posting well in advance - if it had arrived half an hour later then I would have been out.

The same for me! The large box arrived about an hour after I sent a message saying that I hadn't received something that was supposed to be sent on Monday. This one is also due to be sent on Monday along with an earlier received letter bundle.
I now have two large and bulky sacks piled up waiting to be taken to the PO on 3rd and 4th April.

The letter you received with the parcels has the code on it - look at the bottom where it says Bundle ID - this is your code to enter when posting.  As for the mail sack - I suggest you check out the tutorials in the app which will fully explain what you need to do with mail sacks..  DO NOT open it, there will be a manifest in the envelope that you give to the post office staff along with the sack - you need to fill out the tag on the sack with some details from the manifest: Docket Number (this is the order number on the manifest) and Poster (this is the account number on the manifest).  As I said, check out the tutorials as they may well explain better than I have just done.

Turn the Posting Plan over Gail.    The barcode to scan at time of posting is on the back (same is it would be on the band round a bundle of letters).  This is the case whether you have a DVD box (cardboard mailer) or a Jiffy Bag or a mailbag.

Read Saetana's response above.   The Manifest is the one with RM logo at top left and long barcode at top right.  Look at the red or green tag which is zip tied round the neck of the bag.  If this is blank copy the details from the manifest as Saetana said, if it is already completed or stamped - just take the manifest with you to the PO.   The PO clerk should scan the long barcode from the manifest and then tell you what to do next.   1) They might keep the manifest and tell you where to leave the bag  2) They might ask you to attach the manifest to the bag by tucking under the zip tie (I have a big elastic band ready for this) or do it themselves.

If you have taken the Posting Plan with you, then you can report it like any other bundle.

OR - if you have a parcel postbox convenient  to you (this is a handy website https://postboxes.dracos.co.uk/parcels/ )   then you can open the mailbag, post the parcels in that postbox, scan the barcode on the back of the Posting Plan to report.   In that case, you discard the manifest and don't need to queue up.

    @NBLondon.
Thanks for the postboxes for parcels list.
Do you know if there is anyway to get an actual address for the postboxes?
    Thanks  :)
