Hi I'm really hoping that someone can please advise me.

I have received two parcels that I have to take to the post office to post on Monday.

Unlike the letter bundles though, there are no codes on either of the parcels to report so I don't understand how I am supposed to report that I've posted them. On the letter that came with one of them it said to "remove the band" before posting but there is no band, it's just a box that contains a dvd (says this on the letter that came with it) with five first class stamps on it.

The second one is in a drawstring bag and I have no idea if I'm supposed to open this bag or just give the whole thing to the post office. This one also comes with  documentation that I think I'm supposed to give to the post office staff.

I never use postal services normally (goodness knows what I'm going to do with all these stamps) so I'm very naive/stupid when it comes to this.

I really do not want to do anything wrong or mess it up so I would really appreciate any help.

The letter you received with the parcels has the code on it - look at the bottom where it says Bundle ID - this is your code to enter when posting.  As for the mail sack - I suggest you check out the tutorials in the app which will fully explain what you need to do with mail sacks..  DO NOT open it, there will be a manifest in the envelope that you give to the post office staff along with the sack - you need to fill out the tag on the sack with some details from the manifest: Docket Number (this is the order number on the manifest) and Poster (this is the account number on the manifest).  As I said, check out the tutorials as they may well explain better than I have just done.
Thank you so much for your reply! I have just checked the letters and I see the bundle IDs now! I don't know how an earth I managed to miss them.

I will check the tutorials but your explanation is perfect and I think I understand it now. Thanks again 😀

I've got the same problem - Bundle Timeline & Notifications were showing 1 item to post on 3rd April (I received that bundle over a week ago) but Bundle Timeline & Notifications are now showing a further 2 bundles to post on 3rd April.

No sign of the further 2 bundles as yet, and I've received bundles for posting upto 11th April.
I'm in exactly the same situation. I am supposed to have three bundles for the 3rd but only have one and yet I have received bundles for later dates.
I'm sorry please ignore my post. Thanks to a couple of members on here, I've just found out that the two parcels that I received this morning were my "missing" bundles.
  • Please can someone post a link to the tutorial about posting mail in a mailbag? Many thanks. x

Still no update on the unaddressed survey I signed up for and due to start on 27 March. I have emailed them again but to date they now decided not to reach out to me (their language not mine).
    The bad and good news

    Bad news:

    "

Thank you for reaching out to us.

When you signed up through the link we sent in the invitation´e-mail, then the survey should be available on your app.

If this is not the case, we didn't receive your sign up or some other technical issue, I apologize for that.

You can sign up for a later run.

The good news is even though I did not do anything for March they very Kindly sent me my usual stamps as if I had participated in the regular panel.

So, if you use the Parcel postbox, do you literally put the parcels in the box and record it on the app just like a normal postbox or do you have to do something extra? TIA 🙂

I’ve just had my first mailbag delivered to be sent out in a few weeks. I’m in two minds how to send the parcels. The Post Office is nearer but it’s a very small one and my turning up with a sack is likely to be noticed. There is a parcel posting box about 10 minutes walk away outside the sorting office which would be much simpler.

I’ve had some post come while I was away, and I forgot to report it as holiday.
The app sFAQ say to put don’t know or give a date range, but the app doesn’t seem to allow for that -  it asks for a specific day with no other options.
Has anyone else come across this and got an answer from Spectos?

I am in the same position. I would use the parcel postbox if there was one nearby.

Turn the Posting Plan over Gail.    The barcode to scan at time of posting is on the back (same is it would be on the band round a bundle of letters).  This is the case whether you have a DVD box (cardboard mailer) or a Jiffy Bag or a mailbag.

Read Saetana's response above.   The Manifest is the one with RM logo at top left and long barcode at top right.  Look at the red or green tag which is zip tied round the neck of the bag.  If this is blank copy the details from the manifest as Saetana said, if it is already completed or stamped - just take the manifest with you to the PO.   The PO clerk should scan the long barcode from the manifest and then tell you what to do next.   1) They might keep the manifest and tell you where to leave the bag  2) They might ask you to attach the manifest to the bag by tucking under the zip tie (I have a big elastic band ready for this) or do it themselves.

If you have taken the Posting Plan with you, then you can report it like any other bundle.

OR - if you have a parcel postbox convenient  to you (this is a handy website https://postboxes.dracos.co.uk/parcels/ )   then you can open the mailbag, post the parcels in that postbox, scan the barcode on the back of the Posting Plan to report.   In that case, you discard the manifest and don't need to queue up.
I never had any intention of taking the sack to the post office as I prefer to post parcels in a post box so no one asks any questions. I therefore opened the sack and it contains 2 books which are small enough to fit into a regular post box. I wonder could I just drop them in my local post box which is about a 10 minute walk from my house rather than driving 5 miles to the nearest parcel box?

No you cannot - parcels have to be posted either at the post office or in a dedicated parcel posting box, they have to track what happens to actual parcels, not just items posted in a regular postbox.
