I’m guessing it is a Royal Mail service. As hmrc don’t provide a signature on receipt you can claim something back from Royal Mail, who provide the service (or don’t, in this case).anyaadriana said:
Have you got any further information please?Rupert_Bear said:Well i have found an excellent way of converting my stamps into cash at the full value. I have had to send correspondance to HMRC and always use Special delivery. However for the last three occasions i used their premier service they have on all three occasions never confirmed delivery and no signature. Its only by phoning HMRC I know they have arrived.
So I got £27.75 back by cheque for the three occasions.

Isn't that a fraudulent claim of RM as you know that your items have arrived even though tracking hasn't been updatedThrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

No. Royal Mail broke the contract by not getting a signature.Ms_Chocaholic said:Rupert_Bear said:Well i have found an excellent way of converting my stamps into cash at the full value. I assure you the whole point of sending the items by Special delivery was to obtain a signature and show online the items were delivered. Neither happened. Bearing in mind I sent three on separate occasions and in each case I was in a queue for about 45 mins each time for HMRC telephone line to check they may have been delivered.Ms_Chocaholic said:Rupert_Bear said:Well i have found an excellent way of converting my stamps into cash at the full value. I then went carefully through their Royal mails terms and conditions and I realised I was able to complain because as a contributor has already pointed out they broke their part of the contract.
BTW If you are confused I originally posted this under my partners login details.

Lucky you. My usual postbox (for late collections I.e. After 7am on saturdays) is currently wrapped in black tape and waiting to be upgraded to a new hi-tech parcel postbox.rtandon27 said:I upgraded the app this morning and my usual postbox has now vanished off the list.
