I’ve had an underpaid £2.50 card this morning. Haven’t bought anything recently so not expecting any order deliveries. Presume it’s a Spectos one. Not very good is it 😏
Well I emailed them and they replied (quickly!!!) asking me to pay the £2.50 so it could be delivered and saying, were it one of theirs, to send them photos and they’d then award 250 points in recompense and go back to the sender.

So I did and today it was delivered and I sent them the photos. It was just a letter with no postage whatsoever on it, and with a transponder envelope inside.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes to get the 250 points.

I have messaged Spectos to ask them if it’s them and to tell them that if it is, don’t expect me to pay £5 for the item. It does takes them a little while to get back to you though.
This happened in the early days, I think. People paid the surcharge with stamps and were reimbursed by Spectos in stamps..
I don't want another £5 in stamps on top of the several hundred I already have.  Nope, it can go back.
Worst case is you will be using up a few stamps that will be replaced. I think some people got awarded extra points so you will be swapping points for cash. Suit yourself but what if it is important and for you.
I’m presuming if it is, whoever has sent it would have let me know to expect it.

Royal mail have shoved a card through my letterbox to say that I need to pay a £5 fee for an item where the seller didn’t pay full postage. I’ve not ordered anything, I’m not expecting anything so I can only think this must be Spectos books.
I’m not going to pay - it can go back to wherever it came from.  But I wondered if anyone else has had this issue with Spectos previously?
I have had 2 within last month and Spectos offered points or stamps,I took the points and  was credited within 2 days
  • Anyone else getting lots of queries about data they have entered? Got a load this morning, asking if I’m sure of the date I received, given it was posted more than 3 days before. I don’t mind them asking the question but why are they only asking now about items I recorded in the middle of April?!

If they’d asked it when I recorded it, I’d have been more likely to have remembered and all the materials have since been disposed of.  I do record everything on the day it comes in though and the date is pre-populated so I’m as certain as I can be (after all this time) that I received it when I said I did…

But if people can’t confirm after such a long period, it seems a very effective way of removing delayed post from the results.

Only got a few recent ones. Sounds like another system error.

I had two queries today, both for letters with a Jersey postmark.

Mine are usually Jersey. Most PO Boxes there are about a 10am collection. Panellists are supposed to post before these are collected although there are some later boxes to post in that will get the boat. Guernsey seem better so maybe they go by air.

No queries here at all since starting this latest session last December - although I've had the occasional email suggesting there are ones that I need to reply to by clicking on the "little bell symbol"

On a totally different Mailagents topic ....

..... Anyone here involved in the Royal Mail Parcel Collection pilot testing ?

No, didn’t even know they were trialling that. Would be much more convenient if that gets rolled out more widely.
