Ditto. I can be back in range of my home wi-fi 30 seconds after posting. So, I'll look forward to the report to tell me if I'm still close enough to the postbox to count as verified. That's much better than scanning and fiddling with the phone while standing by the box (do Spectos not know about wind and rain?)MABLE said:I do it from home as the post box is just outside and when posting parcels the post office is 50 yards away.I need to think of something new here...0 -
Yes especially when they want an explanation everytime I post something the evening before it should be posted. Every one of the postboxes anywhere near me have been changed to 9.am collection 7.am on Saturday. You would think they would have grasped the reason by now. It seems only Post Offices have later collections now.NBLondon said:

That question is very annoying. Especially when posting on the designated day but after last collection doesn’t trigger any questions, even through their instructions are clear that it should be posted before last collection. As you say, it should be obvious why I’m posting at 10pm the night before when last collection is 7am…millie said:

I've got two parcels to post that came in a mailbag. I always take mine out and post in a parcel box but these look too big 😕 I've already got rid of the manifest so hoping this won't be an issue at the post office. Although the manifest used to give me an issue......bit of a pain for me really as now need to drive to a post office in my lunch break ☹️0

If it feels like 2 thick books, you could open carefully, take a book out, and reseal neatly - then post in parcel box.TomandBarbara said:I've got two parcels to post that came in a mailbag. Thanks 😊 I haven't measured it tbh, just looked at it and thought that's bigger than usual and then my other half said that's not going to fit!HonestJohn said:

I managed to gum up a parcel post box by sending a parcel of books back to them. Granted, there were about 15 books in the package and it did fit in the shoot but then didn’t drop down into the parcel post box. The door then got stuck and refused to budge any further. So I very quickly abandoned the parcel box and hope no one else was looking to use it that day! 😂HonestJohn said:

TLDR: I think virtually any package containing two books, no matter how big, will fit in a parcel postbox.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j1 -
I think this is my worry! I got one of my own parcels stuck in one of them before so I am worried I might do it again!Money_Grabber13579 said:

Going to measure the boxes at lunch time and if too big will tweak the parcel. Was going to send them at lunchtime at the post office as suddenly realised I did need to go out but then dawned on me that I'm in the wrong postcode.0
