Since the postbox is 40 paces from my front door... I leave the wrapper in the hallway; go and post the bundle then report it when I get back in the house and in wifi range. Location picks up the correct box and time is correct with a minute.General_Grant said:So you get your phone out at the postbox and play around getting the QR code to scan? Then you post the item and immediately use your phone again to report it having been posted and provide any other information?I need to think of something new here...5 -
I have an iPhone 8, fully updated and the scanning of codes doesn’t work for either sending or receiving!XDA said:
I have an iPhone 11 with the latest IOS and latest Spectos app installed and I can’t scan the code when sending bundles but receiving codes work fine.HonestJohn said:
As I implied earlier it might be phone dependent. I have an old phone as probably a lot of people on here do.Busylizzie said:I've had no problem scanning the barcodes! It does seem much easier than TNS at the moment......Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
Exactly the same here too. Just put in £1.90 and then said it had 2 1st class stamps on it.NBLondon said:My first incoming Spectos item arrived today. It asks me to record the postage value - which is slightly odd as it was an A4 envelope with 2 1st class stamps = £1.90 which could have been a Large 1st = £1.45.
I received another letter to post yesterday and thought it was odd that the envelope enclosing the letter had a little return address label stuck to it, which looks to be of a private dwelling (I’m not going to post any details of the address, just in case it isn’t a Spectos facility). It did make me wonder who was actually running it…gave me images of someone organising it from their own home, who only has a supply of first class stamps and nothing else!Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
Hello. I was wondering if someone knows if the situation with boxes has changed. I used to do to Kantar one but they were sending me boxes and the postman could not get access to my flat and I was having to go to the Royal Mail office to collect them. It was miles away and I don't drive. Do they still send boxes or is it letters only? Strangely, just yesterday I had an email from Kantar inviting me back. Many thanks for any help.0

Galaxy S6 here fully updated too. Only managed to scan one reciept code. Took a lot of time too.Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Albert Einstein0 -
The training material states that there will be boxes/parcels - which I imagine is specified as part of their contract with the Royal Mail.rothesy said:Hello. I think it’s probably still too early to know. I don’t think anyone has reported receiving parcels yet but it’s still very early days (don’t think they probably take over until March 23) but I’d be surprised if the parcel posting requirements were dropped - if anything happens, I might expect them to become more common, given that parcels is an ever increasing part of RM’s business.rothesy said:Hello.
