I think I went back on the ready stage just before Christmas and started getting things to post at the beginning of March, so probably just over two months.

  • I got the ready email in early January I think and started posting at the start of February. However, I know someone else who got the ready email just before me and they are still waiting.

I finished with Kantar at the end of March '23 and immediately registered with Spectos. At first, they tried to register me on the Guernsey postal survey as I had GU postcode !!  Having rectified that nonsense, I have so far only done the UA & CD surveys (although I did also receive some stamps at the very start).
I finally received and email at the end of December stating: "We wanted to let you know that you are now on our list of available panellists. This means that your 6-month break is up and we are waiting for a space to become available in your area to pop you back onto the survey. Once a space becomes available you will receive an email welcoming you back... "
So after almost a year and still not on the live survey, and having read every page of this forum (and never posted anything on any forum previously), I am hoping that things are running a bit more smoothly by the time I actually start posting things.... including the hated mailsacks, as there is no parcel box in my area.  In my opinion, only Businesses panelists should have to deal with these, as the majority of private panelists don't use mailsacks in their day to day lives.....

I think your GY/GU issue shows the level of expertise we are up against. In my experience it is two steps forward and then one back with Spectos. Most things seem to operate smoothly now except the UA survey. A lot of people report not getting the points without a struggle. I think that the poor documentation for this survey causes people to incorrectly complete it.

Today - I got a pop-up on the app with a query.  So I opened the app and there's nowhere to see the query and respond.   Not very useful is it?   It wasn't the query I was expecting (test letter with an out of date stamp) but about a test letter that I had last week with a Jersey stamp.  So I raised a ticket to send the answer.

I had one query about a letter from Jersey. They take about 3 days and they were querying this. I guess they need to get the Islanders to post earlier to meet the boat or plane connection.

A lot of us seem to get post from the Channel Islands; it seems disproportionate to the amount of Channel Islands to UK post there actually is.
