i have just finished on Kantar & i received the xmas presentation stamps .Do i get a presentation pack of stamps for completing my term as well,Forgot if you do or not,Thanks.

Was it a Christmas presentation pack you received or a book of 8 Christmas stamps? If the former, that will be your presentation pack for finishing, but if the latter, then you should also receive a presentation pack for finishing too. I’ve just started and got the transformers presentation pack.

Thanks both.  I have been logged in on my Android phone but I've just tried my (ancient) Apple work's phone and get the same version 1.3.0.  I am guessing I must have a lot of letters due to be posted that I haven't received yet or they are duplicating the chasing notifications throughout the day.  I have nothing due to be posted till tomorrow that I am aware of.

It looks as though we're all in the same position. I can't wait for a 'normal' routine!

It's made me come on to the tutorial videos and see that the updated version of the App should let me see what items I should be expecting to post etc but my phone still has the old 'basic' App. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Mailagents app but an still only getting the old app (no option of correctly delivered etc) - version 1.3.0. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

No, Spectos haven't released that functionality yet. V1.3 is still the latest version

Not necessarily. RFID tags can be printed onto flat labels (we use them a lot at work). These would just stick onto a single sheet so you wouldn’t realise that they were there. 

I don't think you can print RFIDs like the Kantar/Spectos version. Theirs are battery powered. Nobody waves these at a reader. They have to be detected from a bigger distance.
I think  there is a shortage as they are having to spread the stock over two companies now. Problems only occured when Spectos came onto the scene.

You are assuming that the RFID’s are ‘like the Kantar/Spectos version’. Those of us who were on the old European mail survey that finished about a year ago were very used to getting both types of RFID’s. Both the traditional battery powered version and the thin printed barcode labels were used fairly evenly on that. Each has their advantages. I can testify that a printed tag can be picked by a low powered hand held scanner from 30-40 feet. The high powered scanner versions used in Sorting Offices have no issues. To give an example we regularly send around 400 uniquely tagged items in boxes on a van across a site. On random checks 98% show as hitting the exit sensor on the building it leaves from and the entrance sensor on the building they are being delivered to.

You might be right. I did see a mention of an other type of RFID in one of the training videos or docs. Maybe the people reporting that some of their mail to be sent don't have an RFID are mistaken and their letter contains the printed type. Maybe if I receive one we will know. I wonder if they will want them posted back.

For anyone who has received something from Spectos which doesn’t appear to have an RFID, does it still contain an envelope to send back to Spectos? I can’t see them wanting empty envelopes to be returned to them and if there is nothing to be returned, that would seem to indicate that there just is no RFID, as it would otherwise be visible to the recipient.

No, Spectos haven't released that functionality yet. V1.3 is still the latest version

It looks to me as if Spectos updated/translated the FAQs and the videos before the UK version app was ready.  FAQ 7.3 tells us to look in "Test Items" to see what is expected but that field doesn't appear anywhere.
