www.directparceldelivery.com, we use them everyday. £6.50 Fedex 24hr, collect from your house.

NB: you dont have to register first on their site before you can do anything.

To be honest though its not FedEx, its ANC....is it not?

PS: I notice some of your posts have been deleted, how bizarre.

A lot of the vans that say fed ex on them are self employed owner drivers, part of the deal is they have to have their van signwritten, and they might deliver for other companies aswell

    www.worldwide-parcelservices.com discount code ebay10pc
also worth trying www.interparcel.com, also www.freightsearch.com (very helpful)

WPS will probably be the cheapest

Edit: Also definitely worth a mention is Express Packages Deliveries. Don't think their international rates can compete with WPS, but we use them for all our European shipments, great price, truly fantastic service, parcelforce Euro48. Exceptional value for heavier items especially, as price is flat up to 30KG.

Not sure exactly how it works as we have not yet had to make a claim in 600 parcels we've sent with them (touching all wood!). I'm pretty sure you get £100 included and that it is you that has to initiate the claim, best bet is to give them a ring. One thing I do know and that is you only have 5/7'ish days to make a claim.

Having recently gone through this myself (well, it's ongoing at the moment) if it's something you've sent as an eBay item, get the buyer to do it! Honestly, it saves you all kinds of hastle. Technically, once a parcel's in the hands of the delivery company it ceases to be your property, ergo, ceases to be your problem. I tried to be helpful to an eBay buyer over this printer business and she's gone out of her way to be catty about it! Like, I don't have enough to deal with without her on my back every five minutes? People just don't sem to understand that it takes longer than 2 weeks for claims to be delt with.

Give them all the details and tell them they have to claim is my advice. Not nice, I know, but the way people are today it's the only way to stay stress-free!

It is very hard to get an insurance payout from a parcel company, i belive they pay out about 5% of claims
