@Snakes_Belly :D would be worth a quick letter.
I saw the Rt Hon MP for Lichfield in Euston a few weeks ago, I was going to shake his hand but he was engaged in deep conversation post- PMQ.

He delivered most of the final judgment in the ParkingEye v Beavis.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I did wonder if he was involved in the Beavis decision. I saw a programme where he was talking in his capacity as a historian where he referred Samuel Johnson as the most important Londoner.

Now Dr. Johnson's birthplace may be suffering a loss in revenue as the Excel debacle has had an effect on business.  Actions have consequences.

Euro Car Parks are not much better and I can see issues when the new cinema opens in the building that was previously Debenhams. ECP's signage on these car parks is very ambiguous especially on Sundays.

Walsall had an Excel SA according to Courtserve.
    • All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
    • When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
    • "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere

I think that the claim was dismissed at the same hearing.

Yes the SA and the claim were dismissed at the same hearing which is unusual but possible. The defendant had submitted a comprehensive WS and got all her costs returned.

There was also another Excel Three Spires claim heard yesterday (not at Walsall) which was also dismissed.

Sad though that so many people have paid up. Sad also that a small city which has been such a place of enlightenment in the past has been infested by these grubby money grabbers.

Further update on this hearing. It was a Stoke on Trent County Court and probably one of the quickest ever to be dismissed. Excel's WS contained images of a random car with VRN that did not correspond with the claim.

Anyone receiving a claim from Excel or VCS should check the details of anything that they send carefully. Their attention to detail in their adminstration is very poor. This is a company that supposedly has a legal team!

The Elm's reps are doing OK out of the Three Spires debacle as they still get paid for the time allocated.
