I guess I resent being in that elite club of 11. But thank you for your advice I will crack on with this.

Well, all submitted in the end. I’ve taken lots of pictures of non existent private car parking signs and typed up a huge defence. Lots of pictures of nearby car parking with correct signage to compare and with the help of the links given sited lots of relevant cases. Emails sent to the court Gladstones solicitor now. Will update either after the court case or hopefully it gets binned off! Thanks for everyone’s help.

I did. I submitted my initial statement months ago (as per guidelines). Just snuck in my bundle statement and costs forms a day late, so hopefully all will be well.

Well done, and thanks for letting us know.
I'm so pleased you got costs as well as many judges don't allow it.

news update. The case was dismissed at court. I won the maximum £95 compensation.
Thank you to everyone that helped me in this.
The case was really lost on redacted statements and that the courts copy wasn’t and mine was.  Shown to be totally unfair.
hey thanks for that info, good win for you, yes that is very naughty of them, not the way things should be done

    Hooray!

ANOTHER GLADSTONES / UKCPM ONE BITES THE DUST!

And we sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the final Government Public Consultation?

Hopefully - amongst all the political disruption - it will be open later this year. Watch this space (this forum).

We all need to ram the nail in the coffin of the false £70 'DRA fee' add-on, that actually funds the court claim and toxic CCJ culture, as well as the DRA gaslighting of people.

If PPCs manage to turn around the decision on banning the gaslighting / claim-funding 'fees' then the DLUHC will be rubber-stamping £200 parking charges and if that happens, they (Government) and the PPCs will wreck high streets and people's lives.  Whoever is responsible, if that happens (and it very nearly did in 2021) must hang their heads in shame.

Just checking you are among those ready to respond to the questions as you have personal experience of how this crap feels?

Please come back here when it opens, and you can make sure you don't miss the Consultation:

If you are not a regular reader, to be alerted you'll need to bookmark the thread by MSE_JC at the top of the forum and enable (on your profile) email alerts for bookmarked threads.

Then join us when the Consultation opens.

Sorry if you knew all this already - I had no time to check back through the thread.

Hi Marty - not sure you still keep up to date on the Forum.
But could you explain what you mean by "The case was really lost on redacted statements"?
Also - did Gladstones have a legal rep stand in present on the day?

Thanks! I have a case with Gladstones hearing in the very near future :)

One of our regulars, @Fruitcake often posts about contracts and in this case, redaction.  Search for his posts by clicking on his name, going to his profile and looking for discussions about contracts.  Here is a flavour of what he has previously posted.
''...The document must in all normal circumstances be placed before the court as a whole. Seldom, if ever, can it be appropriate for one party unilaterally to redact provisions in a contractual document which the court is being asked to construe, merely on grounds of confidentiality...confidentiality alone cannot be good reason for redacting an otherwise relevant provision..."
