I only buy granulated sugar to whizz up in my blender to turn into caster or icing sugar, its a lot cheaper than paying over the odd for regular caster or icing sugar and handy for cake making take a few seconds to do but saves me quite a bit

There were a few jars of korma here (Yorkshire) when we went shopping earlier. Squished onto the end of a shelf. No minions around to question eitherUntil 1913, children in America could legally be sent by parcel post.2

I have an online ocado order coming tonight, I only used them as they offered me 15% off and free delivery. Hunted the bargains and stocked up on some long life products and I have had confirmation of no missing items.
It just makes me wonder what's going on, where is the supply issue?5 -
Granulated sugar in Sainsburys was 75p, then 65p (price lock), now back up to 75p. I bought a bag a couple of weeks ago in the Co-op, priced at 95p, but I had a 50p membership offer so paid only 45p. Like JackieO, I whizz granulated up for caster or icing sugar as it saves money and space in the cupboard.
Shopping is definitely becoming more difficult, whatever the reasons might be. It's a major logistical nightmare and I feel sorry for those people who have specific dietary requirements. We can eat almost anything - fortunately - but it's still a pain in the bum.Be kind to others and to yourself too.7 -

Supermarket shelves picked bare as bargain hunters shop aroundWhile shortages of most products are temporary, store-specific and sporadic, some items appear consistently harder to come by, such as bottled water, courgettes, fresh orange juice and parmesan.Good lord, there's nothing there that are actually the necessities of life are there? If you're spending money on bottled water, fresh juice and parmesan, you're not exactly scraping the bottom of the barrel. And yes, our tap water tastes horrible, I have a Phox water filter that sorts that problem.
