Was in Marks yesterday and there were yet more price rises.  Butter now £2 and milk had gone up to £1.65 for four pints.  Someone on here mentioned that they sign long term contracts with their suppliers and up to now that has meant their prices were stable.  Looks like that isn’t the case anymore but I do hope they are passing on the increase to the farmers.  At any rate, they had plenty of eggs so I bought a dozen without looking at the price.  It’s Stir Up Sunday this week and I need eggs for the cake and the pudding
Perhaps their contracts have expired, I really like M&S eggs and never mind paying a little more for them.

The 24 pks of waitrose loo rolls have gone up by 70p. Was £9.50 last week now  £10.20.
  • Tesco also sell Stockwell and co beans and sausages - currently out of stock online when I looked but normally sell for 40p a tin

The 42p price I saw was for Stockwell beans and sausages (also online). I wonder what it will be when it returns.
I do have a tin but I'm putting off trying it as it needs a can opener and I don't manage them very well. That's the trouble with the cheapest versions - rarely ring pull cans. The contents are usually as good as the more expensive versions though.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about Tesco's own brand, but now I look they were selling for 80p a tin (also currently out of stock)

Well, Stockwell is Tesco's own budget brand. Presumably to replace their budget range which disappeared......

I struggle with normal tin openers due to my disability and I wouldn't be without my EZSqueeze one. When the last one broke my OH went out and bought me a new one within a day. Usually they are around the £14-15 area but in my opinion worth it. My OH has used it and says it is a breeze compared with usual openers.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D

Eeek, £27 on Amazon! At the moment I use the old-fashioned butterfly opener, turning it by putting a screwdriver through the holes. I've tried a few different ones and come to the conclusion the problem is with the modern cans - the rim is too deep and the metal too bendy.
