Nationwide 2 'active' direct debits

I want to set up 2 'active' direct debits in my donor account that I can then switch to Nationwide for the £200 offer. I'm looking for charities that accept £1 or £2 payments where you can specify the date so I can pay out the first payment ASAP and the direct debits become 'active'. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Are you 100% sure about this?

If you want to be 100% sure I suggest you contact the bank and ask them what they mean by "active" direct debit.0 -
An 'active' direct debit is a DD that can be collected, a DD will go inactive after the dormancy rule kicks in, at which point they'll write to you and let you know they've made it inactive.

Do be mindful that charities will lose money if you are setting up a £1-£2 direct debit and cancelling it soon after, using something like Plum is a better idea as they set it up immediately and can take £1-2 a week robo saving via DD. Otherwise, mobile phone contracts, low use credit cards etc are good0

Paypal can be useful for an emergency DD. It doesn't cost you anything (unlike charities) but it can't be automated, though you probably don't care about that

I've used £1 Direct Debit numerous times, and have just set up 10 new DDs with them today for the latest switching rounds. Never had any problems. The DDs are set up with GoCardless via £1 DD.
Last switch that went through earlier this year, I set up 2 DDs on each of 2 accounts. All were active (i.e. visible in the donor accounts at the time of switching) but had not yet collected any payments. All were cancelled as soon as the switching incentive was received in the new accounts, still having not collected any payments, so the actual cost was £0.2 -
Thanks, so it's DEFINITELY OK if none of the Direct Debits have actually taken any money?0

If you need it then you can take a look belowOnepoundDD (on particularl dates)PlumMoneyboxSprive (you would need mortgage for this one and I have a referral)0
