I suspect most suppliers are going to wait a little before adjusting the DD levels for the new prices so they don't get swamped with phone calls complaining they didn't get the £66 reduction in the DD...scobie said:Curiously nothing from eon to suggest they’re increasing my DD to take into account the higher charges since Oct 1. Perhaps they have looked at my usage and balance and decided the latter will carry me through.I’ll keep an eye on it and make adhoc payments if I think it’s necessary.

British Gas account credited on the 5th £660

Utility Warehouse has credited my October bill with £66 and reduced my next DD by the same amount.

Shell credited the £66 around the start of the month, monthly bill on the 10th does not take the credit into account (whole bill to be taken by DD). On the plus side, they've billed at the previous capped rate (no 1st Oct increase).
Truly incompetent, I'm sure it will be corrected in due course.0 -
Just received an email from Octopus, quoting a revised Direct Debit amount.
My last bill was for £67.19 and I my account was credited with £66 a few days after.
The revised DD is for £1.19
Just checked my Octopus account and they haven't created a revised bill.
Edit: Just noticed that the email header says "FYI: Your Direct Debit payment is due soon: £67.00 less than usual". That should have read £66 less.
Must be a complicated time for Energy Suppliers.0
