EON next new prices

I’m no expert but must admit I am baffled as to why updating seems to be such an onerous issue that takes so long. They do keep insisting that any bills will actually reflect the correct rate however. Understandably customers don’t find that a convincing promise.spot1034 said:
What's even worse is that they haven't even published the revised rates for existing fixes - this might not matter too much for the majority on single rate electricity tariffs, but it is vital for Economy 7 customers. If I find I have been disadvantaged by a change in the day/night split without even being informed about it for several days after the change has been made, I shall certainly be taking the matter up with them.gndalph said:I’ve had an email today from Sainsburys Energy (Eon Next) as my fixed tariff is ending on 5th Oct to say they have updated their prices in line with the Government price cap and to check my online account for the new SVT.There is no update on my account. It still quotes the much higher rate that it did weeks ago.I managed to get a reply from them on social media saying they are still in the process of updating their systems but don’t know how long it will take for that to happen. They are their own worst enemy. The fact that they have incorrect pricing information on peoples accounts is generating a huge increase in the volume of work they have to do as customers are contacting them constantly about it.
What is the problem with them just publishing the revised rates, even if they are having trouble with the programming needed to revise online accounts?0 -
My EON account is now showing what I assume is the correct pricing, so they're getting there:

I see the same, so I hope we are in the same region (Yorkshire)0

Good that Next Flex customers are starting to get the correct rates. Fixed tariff customers might be likewiseLeew89 said:My EON account is now showing what I assume is the correct pricing, so they're getting there:
as my rates have come down to the cap or very close to it - will need to check later.

EON/Sainsbury's rates have just changed for me:
Kinda glad this fix doesn't have an early exit fee now!

No tariff details showing for me yet. (Eastern region)0

Electricity
Next Online v19
43.45 p/kWh 37.92 p/day(All rates inc. VAT)
Gas
Next Online v19
10.66 p/kWh 27.22 p/day(All rates inc. VAT)
The unit rates are higher, but standing charges, lower. Need to crunch the numbers alongside my projected annual consumption to see how much better off I would be on SVT.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
Im in the Midlands and mine has changed in the past hour.
I'm on a fix and the only thing changed is the night rate. On my fix, it was originally 24p so down quite a bit. And the 39p is pretty good considering what many are on with their E7 day rates from this October, unless they change that too because you never know.

My Smooth Renew v20 tariff was
Electricity 60.51p per kWh SC 43.39p
Gas 15.23p per kWh SC 27.22p
Tariff now showing
Smooth Renew v20
Elec 42.67 p/kWh 43.39 p/day
Gas 10.80 p/kWh 27.22 p/day
So come down marginally more than 17p/4.2p
But not enough to match EPG
