Applies to England only at present .

Over 50s in Wales and Scotland still have to wait to be invited.

Invited last month, delayed a little so as to still have decent immunity over Christmas, then went early this month. Was refused - told I’d already had it! There’s an incorrect entry on my vaccination record. I’ve been in touch with the “data resolution team” and told it will be resolved “in a few days” but a week later it’s still there and I can’t get my booster until it’s gone. And now lots of other people will also be in the queue.  Very annoying and not a little worrying.

whenever I've looked (and I've looked quite a few times for various reasons), there has been loads of availability.
I booked thurs eve (they generally update their computer system the night before it's official) and got my jab on friday less than 24 hours later, even though technically I shouldn't have had it until saturday.
There was loads of availability and they were doing walk-ins e.g. the woman in front of me who'd come as a carer had one there and then.

Annoying as you say, but ironically I'm more concerned about take up being low than the queues.

Try a different centre, one that is less automated may use paper records initially and then update the database at the end of the day - at least that will get you your vaccine, even if your record takes longer to be updated correctly. I don’t have much confidence in the data resolution centre working quickly.

I can’t see there being such a sudden take up that we get back to the days of a lack of appointments. There are many pharmacies doing the vaccines with no queues and no shortage of vaccine.

You’re right about the appointments. I called 119 yesterday to see if I could get an update, and the lady proceeded with making me an appointment. I stopped her, explaining what had happened before, but she said that her system would not be letting her make the appointment if there were any impediment, and that (contrary to what the data resolution bod had told me) the incorrect entry would be replaced with the correct one when I had had my vaccination. So I’m going this afternoon - I’ll let you know how I get on.

Got my booster yesterday with no trouble. I think my experiences might help others so  I’m going to do a new post about this data issue with a more explicit title, so it’ll be easily spotted.

I had my booster about 3 weeks ago at vaccination Centre near me in a sports centre..

32 Fit & Healthy Autistic male

the lady did ask why someone as young as me was having the booster but had letter from my GP

As I was born nearly 2 months early & immune system bit weaker than most I wanted to have the booster to protect me
