We have an E7 meter, how can I find out if this will affect us? Sorry, don't know much about the meter.

I don't think that is an RTS meter.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Looks the same as mine. 7 hours fixed E7 output, mine runs from around 00:08 to 07:08 GMT meaning that in summer the E7 is available from 1am until 8am which is useful. If so, off-peak is when the light next to 100A (the top one) is red. Can't easily read the time off those without downloading the firmware IIRC.
The clock on mine is 7 minutes slow now after all these years. No way (for me) to correct it though.
The loud click is simply the heavy-duty relay connecting the switched E7 output to the load.1 -
