Today I am grateful for paracetamol based lemony hot drinks, for soft balsamy tissues, for young Jimmie Bond ebooks, for nabbing a super f+v box at liddle, for laying on my back thingy (like 2 hard tennis balls joined together) to release some of the tension in my back, for finally inputting receipts into my sort-of spreadsheet - back to midJuly so far (yep, I've been a tad lax with this!!!).

Four more things went in CS bag today - will drop the bags off this week.
DD and I had some kyivs for dinner tonight that had been in the freezer since last October - they were very yummy! That's in the spirit of using things up that we already have 😃 DH had leftovers 🙂
Managed to get most of the washing dry on the line today - a few heavier items are on the (unheated) airer for overnight. It's been quite a mild day here, but overcast.
Thankful for yummy food, dry weather, getting rid of some more things (all from DH's wardrobe), an unexpected global sale (so another thing gone! 👏)

f0xh0les said:I just heard one of my kids coughing upstairs. The Attack of the "Other People's Kids' Dirty Germs" seems to have begun. They were all complaining about stuffy noses and sore throats this morning. Plague-Pit-Secondary-High-School strikes again. DH will no doubt catch it next, and we don't even have the comforting Sip-of-Lem anymore as they stuck lactose in it. Boo! Might have to go hunt down and squeeze some lemons...... We finished the soups for lunch today, so at least we have had 3 days of vitamin boosting meals to combat the lurgy. Saw my first Celeriac in the shops today (it was tiny, a little baby celeriac), and also saw my first Poinsettia (they are weird furry creatures that do not enter my house). This week in Turtle-Moneysaving-News, I am going to pay off my mortgage with my inheritance cheque. @Thrifty_Taylor good luck with your hospital trip and all the travel involved. Pleased to hear you keep your stores topped up. Saw a tv show about one of the islands and the only SM was a Coop. Our local one has lovely staff who ploughed on through covid. I've noticed their shops seem to be in a lot of more small/remote places.
@idee you can't beat a show about the stars and galaxies, especially if it's a live one (especially Brian Cox)! We went to Oz in '13 to visit stepdaughter and she wanted to visit the planetarium. We were so excited and it was fantastic for the first 15 minutes until 23 hrs of flying kicked in and we fell asleep during the presentation. She swore she could hear her dad snoring. I blame the reclining chairs. Funny now but not at the time!
Congratulations @f0xh0les on planning to be MF so young. I'm sure your SG would be glad to know she'd helped you achieve it.
NSD#1 today. All meals from stores. Had forgotten to return electoral form so did that online after council email reminder. Got letter to arrange colonoscopy so need to ring and book. Not a grand day out!
Used some slightly OOD ready made pastry to bake cheese straws for my work snacks. Not bothered as I'm the only one risking eating them.
Read meters and sent reading.
Chaotic day at work but as I'm part time I don't get dragged into things too much. I just turn up and do what they ask, mostly cheerfully. Unfortunately others are under a lot of pressure and management don't seem to notice. Roll on, Wednesday evening. X
