As for flying:
I seem to be trapped in a weird set of revolving doors! On Saturday I step through a door into chaos and overwhelm and where do I start? Spend the weekend unchaosing. Step into Tuesday's paid stuff door feeling organised and a bit more on top of things only to be flung out on a Friday evening not knowing which way's up and straight in through the Saturday door again. Wheee! 🎢
Anyhoo. I'm up, my bed is made, I've read the meters, unpacked my lunch box, and had a brew. Oh, andI brought down the laundry hamper.
Last weekend's list seemed to work so I'm doing the same again. In no particular order:
Brew 2 & breakfast
Get dressed
Feed the birds
Put out the rubbish & recycling
WUDUPA x ?
Sort washing into loads
Swish washing & peg out
Pick up repeat prescription
Fill up with petrol
Defrost freezer
Write list for Mr L shop
Clean out Sweetie
Sweetie's seed & water
Write Christmas gift shopping list
Write birthday gift shopping list
Write list of cards still to buy
Send in meter readings
Watch Strictly
It'll probably get added to. But that's it for now. No birthdays in October. Then wham, wham, wham from 1st November until 16th January including DS's 30th!
Have a good day. Take care of yourself. You can't pour from an empty cup!

I agree too, Round
and Kaz… I am thinking of you walking and am unbelievably touched. I’ve already benefitted from that charity, as some of the information I have been given has been published by them.
I am sort of confined to barracks this weekend as my car is now overdue it’s MOT test, so it’s booked in for Monday and off the road until then. I did ring a while ago but the impact of deferred tests due to Covid meant lots of us were booking.
So… today I must do some degrotting of the homestead.Yesterday I managed to replace the blown bathroom bulb but it necessitated a dash to Mr M as it turned out to be a screw in bulb and I only had bayonet and small screw bulbs in. DD was on standby to switch it off if it lit during installation. It lit. I survived.
WM x 1 which will got out alongside yesterdays. Rained all day yesterday.Bedroom window open to admit fresh air. In related news (but you’ll have to fill in the gap yourselves) we went out for an Indian last night, for my birthday.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Afternoon all
scooting in with a report of some flying done this morning, wm x 2 on the line and number 3 just swishing, big beginning of month shop done as plans this weekend to batch cook and start building up some meals in the freezer again. Top floor, bathroom and one flight of stairs done, all bins emptied. My plan was to continue with the house this afternoon (DH is away) but that may be shelved as am awaiting a phone call with news on a family member. However, while I wait I will carry on as no point just sitting worrying…
bye for now x9 -
Valli, you are welcome, it is also for my OH, but don't tell him
going to keep 'score' this time in my signature, at the bottom to save boring you all with it, I am aiming for mid October to have done the 100 miles, as it is RBL poppy time end of Oct / early Nov, and I want to be free for that, but it does involve a lot of standing around on street corners!!
September was approx 163 miles.Logs are in and stacked, cats 'helped' , then went off hunting bringing me 2 mice.Stacking logs is not step effective only did about 1200 steps, as the bloke tipped them very close to where they needed to go.I've also cleaned the kitchenChecked over spending for Sept, over spent, but in the long run it is a good use of money. Just got to sort out October.I noticed that morrisons, do a £40+ shop and get 5p per ltr off petrol. it may help someone.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

kitchen done, inc windows. While I had a wet cloth (and after using it on kitchen cupboards and worktops) i have cleaned the car flap (which I always mean to add to lists but never do) and I have swept out the front door frame and wiped it, including the 'channel' dirt trap (presume it has a name) at the bottom of the door, so that looks nice.
Washing rescued - we've had 'sharp showers' though the forecast was for sun.
Towels and cloths will go into a hot wash tonight, along with the bag DD carries her clean uniform in./
We are planning a batch cook of lasagne later and we are going to Mr S because DD has to pick up from @rg0s (which I hate and only use if necessary) and I want some celery soup which my sister tells me they sell. Which we both love (who knew?) In fact when we went out for lunch on Thursday we picked the exact same meal (again!) Well we grew on the same tree..
In fact I might get some other stuff while I'm there...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hi all
Had to do a site visit for work first thing then visited my great-nephew for his birthday, so it ended up being an out and about sort of day. Curry out of the freezer for tea. Had two glasses of wine at my nephews so may regret that.
Logged into Octopus energy earlier and our predicted electricity DD is £408 for January 2023. Bit of a shock, some number crunching to do.
Hoovered and dusted earlier, did a load of white odds and ends and put them over the airer. Hoping to walk or cycle tomorrow. Hope you all had a good Saturday, agree completely with what Round said, I think there are tough times ahead, we are going to need each other.9 -

I can only tick off Watch Strictly since my last post, but I did visit Pops for an hour, and brought in my dry washing.
Sweet dreams everyone
