kazwookie said:Checked over spending for Sept, over spent, but in the long run it is a good use of money.
I too have overspent from savings in September (to cover the cost of the cane toad munching), but I consider it good use of my money. It has given me peace of mind and will save everyone a lot of hassle at some point in the future..
Round, you have put into words things that I find difficult to express neatly. I am grateful that there is always a Flylady or three around whenever I need a bit of company or support. Thanks to each and every one of you for making my days better.
Better is good - and today DH is feeling a bit better and has sat out of bed for most of the day I have
- done and dried a small load of washing
- emptied the DW
- wiped and PA the chutney jars
- updated my monthly accounts
- visited DH around lunchtime
- put my feet up for an hour
- collected Rosie from kennels (she is delighted to be home)
- visited DH again between his evening mealtime and mine
- cooked stir fry for my tea
- dealt with various emails etc.
Now I'm shattered and am off to bed early. Tomorrow is party day for DGD1

Lovely morning and Mr N reported, having cycled up to the village shop to get a paper, that it was milder than the last couple of days......so I went to the lake in swimsuit not wetsuit. Minor mistake I felt although still sunny and beautiful. Made 2 new friends, one I'd chatted to a bit in the water so we had a coffee in the sun at the lake cafe; the other was a 'newbie' who had just booked an induction for next week and was anxious and asking lots of advice.
- took harvest festival flowers to church and decorated 'my' window. Golly those pipes need rubbing down and painting....
- one load washing done
- admin in general
- did a sausage and aubergine casserole in slow cooker
- small amount of tidying
- too much sitting in sunny conservatory with paper then on sofa with tablet jigsaw.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -

Good morning all, and lots of squishy hugs to one and all 💕
I’ve been awol for much of this week, as there has been very little flying to report, and I didn’t want to get struck off for being a non-flying flylady. I have read along, but my sieve brain can’t retain anything, but big hugs to Iona, GWS wishes to Mr Iona, beautiful flowers as always Narc0 and well done on your fab achievement.
I have peopled all weekend. Today I am done with that and am hibernating. Dinner out on Friday, lunch with DSis and family yesterday, and friends round for dinner last night. A year’s worth of peopling in one weekend. This morning I have the kitchen to sort out, as I broke my own rule and didn’t sort it before going to bed. DW needs to be emptied and refilled, wm needs to run, fridge and freezer need sorting. This afternoon, I want to get some of my summer clothes into the loft and exchange them for some warmer ones. I think that will be enough for one day, sorting the greenhouse will have to wait. DH is finally on board with making small utility savings, and they are making a difference, but I don’t know for how long.
I need to stir myself and get started, as right now, curling up on the settee seems a very attractive option.
Hugs and love to all xx9 -
Morning ladies
I too have been awol, it’s been quite a week in many ways but mainly good. There is lots of flying to do today, as I am working all day tomorrow. I also need to meal plan for October, work out some sort of budget and generally keep on top of things.Have lovely Sundays all and I’ll see you in the new thread xx9 -
Morning all xx
I'm recovering from the surprise of waking up and seeing it was 9.15am. I wasn't late to bed, and I wasn't wandering around in the WAC. Most discombobulating for a person who wakes up between 6 and 6.30 whether it's a work day or not.
Anyhoo I'm up, made my bed, opened the curtains , turned over the infernal (eternal in 'normal' speak) calendars, and had my first brew. Put the heating on for 30 minutes too as it was nippy. Sunny with a beautiful blue sky. But cold. I set the timer on my phone. Didn't need the heating on last night as I heated a pizza in the oven (leccy), then turned the oven off and left the door open afterwards. Waste not want not.
Bit brain foggy so going to have another brew and some breakfast- toast using bread out of the freezer. It's nearly empty now....but I don't want to throw food away. Except for whatever has been lurking in the bottom drawer for ermm years???
Have a good day. Love to all.

It was after noon before I got dressed. I've fed the birds and been to town: filled up with petrol, picked up my prescription, dropped off ood meds for disposal (finally remembered to take them 😇) and called at Mr Co-op for pack up bits for next week.
I'm now taking a leaf out of pigger's book and watching a film: Goosebumps 2. Not that I've seen Goosebumps 1... but if it's on at this time of day it won't be too scary. Will it? 😱
