Sorry you couldn't make it to your DS's event yesterday, and I hope Mr Ionafan is feeling much better today. Fingers crossed for the grandparents' tea.I hope you're feeling okay today Valli and sorry to hear you have to jab yourself daily. I've been doing so for about four weeks and have another two weeks to go. I'm okay with it, just, because it's necessary but it's a good thing I've been gradually making myself accept that needs must about my needle phobia for the past five years and very lucky that I have a Belovéd who is willing to push the plunger when I've got the needle in.Still no response from the GP's surgery about a prescription for pain relief. 15 days and counting, five points of contact by me - zero from them for 14 days. Not a happy bunny about that but I've got the Fracture Clinic tomorrow which is a step forward. Other than that - nothing to see or say here.Better is good enough.11

I have spent the entire morning on the phone or sending emails.. I spent 40 minutes on hold for the infernal phone to cut me off when I finally got through.. NOT happy!
Anyway, Squeaks ASD referral seems to be moving forward, I have chased the sensory processing people and nudged the neurologist..Dot's final Autism report is through.Once I have got Squeak sorted we are going to be addressing Twinkles difficulties.. hers are much less than the other 2 but she deserves to have them recognised and support in place.
OH has emptied the kitchen binsI have washing to shuffle and DW to jiggle and I may get thoroughly excited and vacuum the stairs if I can find a spare spoon since I sent all mine to Valli.
Iona.. that sounds like good news!
Mtm.. I hope little one with the chickens isn't feeling too poorly. My daughter is on about vaccinating her 2 littles. Seems pointless to me but they are hers.
I have puddles of cat in all the sun-spots.
Today is the 11th Anniversary of Boogs Diabetes diagnosis.. when Dot was 11 days old!!.. I do NOT wish to relive that week thank you very much!!!

apparently I didn't need the braves - never felt a thing. S'pose it was psychological...one down. 4 to go.
(v. proud of self).
I've been at work but I'm staying away from the babies (and they are teeny tiny cute ones) hey ho.
In tray at work looking less ominous.

Well done Valli, you are quite right to be proud of yourself.
Hugs to other poorlies or those struggling. I need my braves, sorry I dont have any to spare, I have a tricky meeting later. I have read but not absorbed, so I will cop out and just send love to anyone who needs it.
I was wide awake at 4.30am so got up at 5 and cycled into the office at just gone 7am. I was looking forward to the luxury of complete quiet to sort out my hair and make up and get ready for the day when a colleague spotted my office light on and came for a chat. Bah. Cycled home and will drive back.
Going to make myself something to eat and read a few pages of my book before I need to go back to the paid stuff. Have run the hoover around and changed our bed.9 -
Hi @pigpen . Little one seems fine with the chickenpox so far. Number of spots growing by the day. Her sister and brother will no doubt come down with it next week, and possibly their cousin who was staying at the weekend. Get it all over with in one go. All the adults here have had it as children, so no worries there.
Have spent a couple of hours peeling pickling onions. Bought a 10kg bag yesterday. Eleven huge jars filled, about 3kg to go. Anyone fancy a pickled onion? I think we'll be eating them for a while. Also filled the DW, made the tea and provided numerous cups of coffee for the roofers.

Good evening 🙂
Paid stuff today - an easier day that finished at 3:30 so not too bad. I managed to empty the food bin into Lottie the Hottie and change the cat litter tray before I started. DW emptied whilst sorting lunch. After work I vac'd the LR and cleaned the hall floor (cat pee incident). DH has done the bins & WU before sorting dinner. I have also done a little admin & some knitting (when the kitten isn't watching!)
Valli Well done on the injecting 👏 You can have all my spoons as you need them more than me. Try not to over do it!
Iona I'm sorry you missed your event, but I'm glad Mr Iona is improving.
Fayolle I'm pleased you got a good night's sleep at last 😊
Good night everyone! Sleep well 😴7 -
I managed to find a jacket this afternoon, and at the checkout bumped into a friend who said, "Come and have a coffee" so I did - and very nice it was, too
Got home to find DH still OK-ish, but he hadn't moved from his chair all afternoon. DS1 paid us a quick visit, but DH hardly spoke to him. A couple of hours later he began to go noticeably downhill again, and at 8.15 I ended up ringing for an ambulance. They came and carted him off to A&E. I have had to ring DD and say that DH definitely won't be going to the Grandparents' Tea, and I doubt that I shall be able to go either - unless DH is kept in for several nights, in which case I might drive down on Friday morning, stay overnight, and come back early on Saturday morning. Whatever happens to DH, Rosie has a bed in the kennels for 3 nights from Thursday, and will definitely go there. I had to cancel two previous bookings for her, and I don't want to be the awkward customer. It will give me a break from dog walking, too.
I have stripped DH's bed, gathered all the other washing, done the first load of bedding, and thrown it in the TD so that it will be ready to go back on the bed tomorrow. The weather forecast for tomorrow morning is quite good, so hopefully the other loads can be hung out to dry - but not before 9.30 as the J is coming to tidy the garden and I will have to ask him to mow the lawn first thing.
I'd better get some sleep while I can. G'night all xxx8 -
Morning all,
Valli - well done my lovely, you are so strong and I love that you keep your sense of humour with you. We are all here for you xx
Iona - I am so sorry to hear about Mr Iona, and for you that your plans are now up in the air. You really are wonder wife, do you know that? Have a virtual hug, cuppa and biccie from me xx
Mumtoomany - sorry to hear about the pox. I was about ready to give up on animals yesterday (pigs - dry stone walling - need I say more).... xxx
YL - Keep being brave - you won't realise but you inspire me, and many others on here, every day. You carry on through tricky work situations, DH being unable to work at times, DS' illness, money worries and yet STILL YOU KEEP GOING. WELL DONE XX
Up at 5.30 as usual - I have overslept these last two days and it really throws me. WM is on, DW is on, bin dragged out. Animals checked on, cuppa made, bleach sloshed down sink. Manageable to do list today - it includes basics such as "wash face"...
I can hear DS footsteps so I had better sign off - he's an early riser like me. Hugs, sticks and spooons - I may keep hold of a couple of braves if I may xx9
