Small spend yesterday of some coffee on app and coffee sachets to see me through the last half of the half term. Must be the weather as the kids have all had their moments this week and we haven’t been able to do a lot because the weather can’t make its mind up! £1.90 spent altogether, may get some shopping today, don’t need much but in the habit of going to the shops as nothing better to do
£144.76/200 spent.

Just checking in for the first time this month (oops) to say I'm at £227.59 with four days to go. I'll probably make it - at most I'll need some milk - but I seem completely incapable of keeping the spend below £200. It's strange as I felt I'd done much better this month, I've avoided the supermarkets and only done two big shops. My little Co-op and greengrocer (and let's face it, chocolate runs to the pound shop) didn't half add up though. I think it's time to sit down and assess what I'm actually spending money on....Weirdly though my overall monthly spend was very low - the lowest it's been in months - and I'm not sure how or why, but I'll take it! Perhaps when I'm trying not to spend on food at the end of the month that spills over into other spending too?Grocery challenge September 2022: £230.04/£200

£9.13 spent in Mr S today.
I'm declaring now as I will not be going out while my OH is away.£289.29/£294.50.
£5.30 left.
Working out the budget to the end of October we have averaged £8 a day as it stands this year. With the price rises this isn't too sad.
Off to work out what our November budget should be.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy6 -

Not sure how I went £16 less on my last post
luckily I keep paper record aswell and can see my post before was correct so it was 160.39 got to add the £1.90 mentioned in last post. Plus today spent £5.35 in sains on offers from my app, 2 different coffees, 4 pack of energy drink and some green tea for husband.
This makes my total £167.64/200 spent.5 -

I’ve completely lost track on what I’ve posted on here as I got a bit distracted with life! However, I’ve got a spreadsheet on my phone that I have religiously kept up to date so my spend so far is £137.05/£150.
This has included some treat items for at home birthday celebrations and ingredients for birthday cakes so I’m really pleased with that.
I have one more birthday meal to do but that will fall into next month’s budget so I’m hoping that might be my total for October.
Going into next month I have a £2 Lidl voucher, a free bakery item and a free W5 item which will help.
Good luck with the month end everyone !

🥲😩. I declared too early! Went to the range today for a look at Christmas toys and ended up buying gravy granules, battered onion rings and YS onions and satsumas. Total is now £191.16 / £190.00. I genuinely thought about sweeping that small amount under the carpet can you believe. I would only have been cheating myself. 🙈. I also thought that I could add it to next months instead. More honest, but then I would be behind before I started. I intend using these figures as next years baseline.
anyway I feel much better having bared all of my dishonest thoughts to people who will understand the challenge we are undertaking. 😇. Onward and upward. Fingers crossed for next month.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,
