Still waiting to hear from Octopus. I panicked in August and took the fixed deal which now looks very expensive. I am trying to be patient and wait for the email but I hate paying so much. Can I just switch to the SVR because it is not showing on my Octopus account page. To be honest, I am struggling to find what I want even though there is so much info in the various blogs.0

Silly question: I'm with different suppliers for gas and electricity, paying quarterly for gas and monthly DD for electricity.
Does the cap apply for non-dual fuel customers? All I can find is 'The average unit price for dual fuel customers paying by direct debit will be limited to 34.0p/kWh for electricity, with a daily standing charge of 46.36p, and 10.3p/kWh for gas, with a daily standing charge of 28.49p, inclusive of VAT, from 1 October. Yes it does. Neither price will be the one in your quotation, but similar principle will apply.Ocelot said:Silly question: I'm with different suppliers for gas and electricity, paying quarterly for gas and monthly DD for electricity.

I'm with Octopus (10 month fix to February 2023 - Electricity 41.03 kWh and 24 pence per day, Gas 12.4 kWh and 26.10 per day - Southern Scotland) and I'm anxious to hear where I'll stand: Stay on the present Fixed one or ? will Octopus move me to Variable ? or some other option.
I feel as if I've given up trying to work out for myself what's best, cost wise - a bit like brain block.
Whatever happens I think we are all in for a difficult time with energy costs this winter.
If anyone hears from Octopus regarding the rates from 01 October, please let us know.
Thank you.0 -

Thanks. I've seen the EDF tariff sheet for 1 Oct onwards, so can work it out from there. However, can't find one for British Gas yet.0 -
