They need to announce a second payment date pretty darn soon as we now into autumn! Unbelievable how shoddy the DWP can be with giving out any money but very quick when it comes to stopping payments or taking money back!
Martin, you need to get on their case a about this second Autumn payment....the bills are coming in!

My child element stopped in my UC payment for AP August to September as he left full time education as September is the usual month for this I would imagine DWP will use this AP to reduce the amount of second payments given as in my case my award is now nil and I'm sure others will be the same1

No one has any idea yet what the criteria will be for the £324 because it hasn't yet been announced.

It is the Government who decide the assessment period, not the DWP.

Maybe they are thinking that people will get temporary jobs at Christmas, thus reducing the number of people eligible, so delaying it as long as possible.

Frankly I would not be surprised if the government announced that the second instalment will not go ahead, they have shown how they hate the poor in the last few days, and I would not be surprised if they didn't use the excuse that the £650 was needed in April but since the price cap has been announced it is no longer relevant so the second payment will not go ahead.I despise this government and I really hope I am wrong. I have been in tears this afternoon literally as my daughter who is pregnant can barely survive on universal credit now, and I have run out of money to help her as an oap on pension and pip, and yet there is talk they will cut it in real terms again our pension and uc.
I know this is a forum not about policy, but I fear for the future, for all of us. I am glad I only have a few years left to live, but I weep, literally for the young.3
