Yeah my son was expecting the money to be paid on 20th September, I had to explain there was a 'from' in front of the 20 date.

That's the date for disability benefit recipients to receive the £150, not the £324.

Very annoying as I am trying to find out for some of my clients that I support. I think a lot of people (like me), Googled "Autumn" to find out what dates Autumn actually covers!

I'd be annoyed being told a "season" as an answer.

You will get your cost of living payment sometime around when there are lots of crisp brown leaves on the pavements, and the temperature starts dropping.
    According to the Met Offiice
23 September 2022 is the start of Autumn.

Couldn't agree more. How on earth is Autumn a date for the next payment. We need a proper date and not a season!
  • Maybe it's the Met Office that make the payment!

That's the astronomical winter.  The meteorological winter starts 1st Dec.  Who knows which one the government will choose!

It's a newspaper, they are not correct. Don't believe everything you read in a newspaper. The payment dates and criteria haven't been annouced yet.
  • Think it's bad that newspapers can put people's hopes up.like that with the current climate
