Soup is bubbling. WM swishing - it is raining so it will go in the TD. DW emptied & restacked. Various pots WULTD. Surfaces wiped. Poo picked from next door - I will clean the floor tomorrow before they get home. I haven't let the cat out for 2 weeks, but she is elderly and I don't want her going missing! I may let her out in the morning. Stuff sloshed down both toilets. I have stopped for a cuppa & then I may give them a scrub, along with the basins.
Then it is paid stuff at 12, including a school run in the rain at 1:30 😭 Fingers crossed for a lottery win so I can retire! 🤣8 -
Hello all
checking in from MacMillan dept, chemo being administered.
cold cap on head…got through pain/discomfort barrier. Had lunch. Got coffee so all good.
pegged out washing before I came. Fab view… can see the Peak District. I’m asking for that treatment chair (nods to left) next time as it’s right by the window.I confidently predict that, if I do get a window chair, it will be hammering down on 14th OctoberDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Yesterday I prepped damsons (not many) for damson jelly. Strained overnight and left in fridge. I now have 2 jars of damson jelly. It is way too fiddly to make damson jam. It’s years since I made damson jelly. One jar will stay here. The other will go to the aged ps.
DW will deal with the mess. Am now in bed.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Valli hope all goes well.
Just wrestling with new computer here, most seems to be easy although email accounts are arguing. I thought I got it right first time with no trouble, then that one mysteriously disappeared......I need to decide if I want to get it to look exactly as my old one, or whether to grit teeth and get used to a different format.
- one load through DW
- zumba and body balance done
- started clearing out late tomato plants etc from greenhouse
- rang garage to see if car can be washed on Monday (it gets a free wash every month as part of the service plan)
That's about it really, as computer has occupied my time.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -

Morning all
Huge hugs to you Valli, you really are wonderful and so strong. We are proud of you and by your side in spirit each step of the way xx
YL - well done for getting through yesterday my lovely xx
I’ve been a bit AWOL, sorry. The last few days have been full of winter prep, and processing free food (for me and animals). We’ve been given lots of spent brewers grains for the chickens and pigs, more windfall apples and pears than I could ever have imagined, plus damsons and some allotment produce that my friend won’t eat so we have been the beneficiaries 🥰
Also fitted a new chimney pot, but now we are getting smoke coming through a gap in the kitchen wall somewhere 😳😳which I just cannot fathom out. Needless to say that fire is out of action until dealt with. Thankfully the sitting room one is fine.I’ve put a small wash on already before coming back to bed with my cuppa.Oh and I was successful with my job application ☺️ It’s just a few hours a week as assistant housekeeper for a large farming family who have done very well in life, but it’ll help with rising costs and fit in nicely with life.
That was quite a waffle, I’ll leave it there. Is Round here this morning? Morning if you are lovely xx
Have fab days all xx11
