General tidy round done
Cat trays done
I need to sort through my chest of drawers to see if I can make a bit more space in it for some autumn clothes, currently living in shorts and T shirts but it is starting to be a bit cooler in the mornings so would like to find a few cardigans along with longer sleeves and legs.

Morning all, and welcome to leftatthetrafficlights and Soontobeoap
Not a good start to this morning: a difficult conversation with DH. Am I wrong to be afraid of driving in London traffic, to go and see his sister and her husband? They don't have a car. Travel arrangements are made even more difficult because he is suggesting that we go on a Saturday, but I also don't want to travel on crowded public transport - football crowds scare me at the best of times. He uses our local public transport, but that's nothing by comparison to central London. I took great care not to bring in any infection while he was waiting for his hip replacement, and I've never really really stopped taking precautions, but I feel that he is pressurising me to do things that I don't feel are safe now that it's my turn to be on the waiting list for surgery.
Yesterday I managed to FUPA clean washing, hoover downstairs and even mop the kitchen floor before settling down in front of the TV.
Today I have a couple of loads of washing and a pile of admin to be done, if I can get my fuzzy head round it all - or I might just give up on the admin and go shopping. The absence of slinkiness and consequent decluttering of my wardrobe, combined with the fact that I've bought hardly any new winter clothes for 3 years, means that there is nothing left that is both reasonably smart and warm.9 -
Happy Tuesday everyone, chilly here this morning, but ironing warmed me up lol, so far I have not followed the list but I have done 1/2 hour Ironing , spoken to the BP nurse on the phone nd need to get some protein inside me to take my tablets, lots of things left to do, but it is a start. oh and I fed Buddy Bless him,

Iona - no, you are absolutely not wrong, in fact you are firmly within your rights to say you are not going. It’s madness to suggest going there at this current time,
surely it can wait until another time? Whichever final decision you come to, I hope he sees sense xx

TBH, if you're on a short waiting list for surgery, I'd be extremely cautious about travel and crowds: so many people are awfully relaxed about masking and hand hygiene and anyway there's always that tendency to get bugs when you're outside your usual environment.

Whole house dusted and vacuumed, aka the bits I could see / reach / not requiring anything moving. Dentist decluttered for another 6 months. Bathroom s&s, ensuite and downstairs toilet got marginally more attention. Bedding washed and out on the line.
Just stopping for a spot of lunch, then it’s runner bean time, and freezer tetris.
1 measly pound closer to slinky, but at least it is the right direction.9 -
Iona, you are right, other thoughts, can they travel half way and you all meet at netural point, can your OH go on his own, can you convince OH that going to a very large city before his op is a very bad idea (covid, flu and such like).Auction house has taken all items, certain items will go in sales later in the yer, others into general weekly type sales.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I need to replace 3 of the girls winter coats so that is on the agenda today, I have found a few I like. 4 from my catatlogue so I can send 2 back and 1 I need to pay for first so that will have to wait until Friday.
Washing needs to come in and be aired off.. I may fling it on the heated airers.. they will be cheaper than the dryer I think.. I have 2 loads to go out.I need to find some floor in the back room which is likely to entail getting rid of some bits and I have a table to drop at my mothers.. that will clear a chunk of room.
first job may have to be drugging the hayfever into oblivion.. I cannot stop sneezing!
Iona.. you are perfectly within your right to say no. You don't even need to put forward all of those perfectly valid reasons just the fact you do not want to should be enough. Surely a trip coming to visit you would be easier for them coming out of London.. I would rather chew off my own feet than go to London, I hate it.. nasty dirty, peopley, rude place.
Kaz ... excellent news, I hope it all sells very quickly for all the quids!
Chased emails, washed the hall carpet and flung a parcel at the postman.. we did a swap.. he brought 2 for me and took 1 away. I have 2 more to package.

Iona I was going to suggest what Kaz said, is there somewhere half way where you could meet up that they could get to by public transport? Either way stick to your guns.
Strange day at the paid stuff, very anxious for no obvious reason but I gritted my teeth and stuck at it. Cycled in, pleased with that. Have had a quick hoover around, made our bed and brought the washing in.
Made carbonara for my tea, managed to get the pan too hot and scramble the eggs. Oh well it was still tasty. Feet up now.9
