No chance you went on holiday in the height of summer and the fridge freezer is in direct sunlight in a south facing kitchen? Mine used a scary amount of electricity during the period of mid 30+ degree days until I put some curtains up in the kitchen to shade it.0

Were all sockets definitely off? Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher? Cooker and microwave? These can all be using small amounts 24/7 that add upBarnsley, South Yorkshire

What's the FF set on? The book usage might be for the warmest setting. Before turning it down buy a cheap thermometer and check the temperature a few times.
You might find you need an energy monitor plug to track down the problem.

If your fridge freezer uses what it says it does I make it you're looking for about 120 W of of continuous power usage. If your water pump doesn't say anything on it you could use the in home display that came with your smart meter to check its power usage. Compare the instantaneous power with the pump on vs off.
(I use an average of about 3 kWh per day even when home, but I don't have a fishtank).0 -
A background usage of 125W is hardly excessive. If your fridge freezer uses an average of 30W then it will be more like 60W on hot summer days. The fish tank could easily use ~ 60W.
If you want to save energy then lose the fish or downsize the fridge freezer.0 -
Any TV box/recorder left on? - I know some BT boxes for example use 20 watts/hour on standby, while modern TVs use a max of 0.5W on standby1

Your boiler will also be using something, the older it is the more it'll use1

If it makes you feel better, our empty house was using nearly 5.5kwh per day back in August. (Two bed end terrace). At that time we had absolutely no concept of what was normal! We’ve since bought a replacement fridge & freezer and our use plummeted immediately. We have not been away again but, even so, our usage has gone under 4kwh a couple of times - one of those was when I was WFH all day. It’s amazing what a difference it has made.
We are going away for a couple of nights soon and I’m looking forward to seeing what usage is registered for those days. I’m hoping it will come down to 2 - 2.5kwh.1
