Starling closed account and sending cheque ?

    You reported earlier the problem with Starling bank had been resolved.

    Are your other bank accounts still frozen?

    If the account has been closed because of suspected fraud/money laundering then it is unlikely the bank will transfer the  money to another account or send the cheque anywhere but the address on record.

    Your previous thread about the abandoned property opposite your current address suggested you've been living there years IIRC.

    Do you still have Royal Mail redirection set up, and if not, do you know the owners of the 'old address' well enough to be able to get hold of the cheque? (bearing in mind it could be them that tipped Starling off)
    Moved out of the address in July… 

    Seriously don’t know what to do
    Go to the address & see if they still have the letter?
    No starling has sent the cheque today .. and I don’t know if I’m going to have trouble getting the cheque..

    will they be able to cash it ?? I’m so worried 

    You'll need to hope they are honest people - i.e. not the kind who'd unlawfully enter someone else's home and change the locks. As an example.

    Banks and other financial institutions treat honesty as having utmost importance.  In your position I'd be less worried about getting hold of the Starling cheque, and more worried about whether there are other FI's I'd forgotten to inform about the move, and/or what will happen if the closure of your Starling account is due to some kind of concerns regarding fraud (i.e. if a CIFAS marker is heading your way)
    Like I said nothing to do with my previous address ,

    my STARLING ACCOUNT got blocked in review for 3 weeks and they decided to close it. Abs they send the cheque to my old address

    Yes it is resolved now as there sending me the cheque to my old address WHICH I don’t live at.. and I’m worried that the new occupiers won’t give me it.

    ive asked them to transfer it instead of cheque worth a try if they say no then I’ll have to knock the old house door and let them know

    So you never updated your new address, why not?

    As it was in review they wouldn’t let me do nothing to the account !

    did you update Starling with your new address or do they still have  your old address as your current address it's not clear

    Old address as current that’s where the cheque is going 

    but someone else lives in the property ..

    Wait and see if the cheque is handed in to the agent.

    Make sure all your other accounts etc are updated to your current address.
