Ripped off big time by 'energy saving' company

Quite a lot of people get preyed upon when buying/renting something.
Many get sold extra insurances or guarantees on the spot etc.
I doubt this user of the forum is going to come on and shout about all the things going well in their life so it's not uncommon for posts to be mainly doom and gloom.
As long term members above you really should refrain from sticking the boot into people or fun at their expense.

I just looked at the one utility site and £60 plus per week for electric and gas no way would I ever use a company like that as my weekly gas and electric is no more than £25 per week in winter and no more than £16 in summer. I didn't go further than the electric/gas price to realise company's like these are ripping people off and possibly don't pay the bills promptly.PennineAcute said:Someone please tell me what money is1 -
There is also a person per month charge on the bill, just over £2 per month or over £24 per year. It could really creep up if there are 4 or 5 people in the home and they are adding over £2 per month to every bill.Someone please tell me what money is1

- Unlimited energy: £60.69/week
- Unlimited water: £7.31/week
- Full fibre broadband: £7/44/week (no entertainment package)
- TV licence: £3.05/week
- OUB fee: £2.01/week
£60.69 per week that's nearly 4 times my summer usage but just under half my winter usage
£7.31 per week that's nearly 4 times my monthly usage on my water meter
£3.05 That's one expense I don't have saving me £159
£7.44 per week, my BB costs me £6.20 per week or £0.89p per day
OUB fee that's £2.01 I would never pay given that most of the charges are way above my monthly usage but I guess they make money out of their charging for a fixed plan and they add more money for more people in the home.Someone please tell me what money is1 -

I was prepared to give the OP the benefit of the doubt on earlier posts, but I am not prepared to believe that, having paid £4,000 for a car about a week ago, they have now turned it in for scrap for £450: that's a loss of £3,550!
The general opinion then was that the car was well overpriced; by maybe a grand or so, but it was presumably roadworthy and MOT'd, as the OP was able to tax it and drive it, albeit briefly. Now he's telling us that, a week later, it's only fit for scrap?
You will draw your own conclusions. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I won't draw the same inferences that some others here seem to be, but I would suggest that the OP needs a mechanism of support far better than an anonymous amateur internet forum can provide.6

I do.feel like I'm a bit vulnerable, especially to being ripped off, paying more than I should, and making general decisions. Also doesn't help I have social anxiety and live alone. I just feel really confused about everything in life. Would a visit to the doctors suffice?0

It may be a good idea to see your doctor about the anxiety. Perhaps as you do not seem to have anyone at home to discuss things with objectively, and with you being vulnerable to pressure (and making decisions that you regret shortly afterwards), it may be worth you popping a post in the relevant forums here before making financial decisions - and certainly do not sign up to anything until you have thought everything through for at least 3 days so you have time to think without pressureDanS1 said:I do.feel like I'm a bit vulnerable, especially to being ripped off, paying more than I should, and making general decisions. £400 for combined bill in a 1 bed flat? that should be a easy warning sign.
I have an expensive broadband provider, and still my bills are nothing like that.
£95 energy (DD amount, bills are actually currently less)
£13 TV license
£30 water
£60 broadband
Total around £1980
