Jet 2 rejecting claim for a delayed flight and next action please

Flight LS 1880 Reus to Bristol on 23rd June

hi. I can see quite a few threads on here relating to Jet 2 turning down flight delay refunds/compensation.
My case is as on other threads - usual long rejection e mail saying nothing except they are not accepting my claim!

Other posts advise to go to CAA (as did the e mail). I tried this and found the claim form and had the following message: -

'The CAA does not investigate complaints where the flight departed from/to another EU Member State, unless your flight arrived into the EU on a UK airline since 01/01/2021. Therefore please contact the relevant national enforcement body for aviation in that country.'

Does anyone know where I can go from here plese? also if others were on the same flight, I would be interested to hear how they got on
thanks

With Jet2, you have 3 options:
    1. keep pestering, request an EXACT and PRECISE reason why your flight was delayed or cancelled.
    2. Request the aviation authority of the departing country to investigate.
    3. Go to court.

I sent a recorded delivery letter approx 18 days ago. Marked it 'action before claim ' ( theres a thread on here explaining how to write the  letter). Had an e mail today advising they will now pay out & may take up to 21 days for payment.

    Hi Suzy

I nearly gave up after having that extra long email declining the claim but after reading this I'm going to send a letter. I'm new here so can you point me in the right direction of the thread know here to help with the letter please?

    Thank you

hi Saz, If you search (on the flight compensation thread) for another post called 'Jet 2 claim for late flight' by  withaspritz. There is a very helpful letter that he wrote to Jet 2. I just used this as a template and adapted it to my particular flight/circumstance. I posted it recorded delivery for around £6 but was £6 well spent.
Then had an e mail reply from Jet2 legal department saying they will award the claim
I have not had the money yet, but the e mail advised to wait approx. 28 days. I will wait and is in my diary to ring and check once the time has elapsed.

Don't give up if you think you have a genuine claim.
    Good Luck

Hey, has your compensation now arrived? I was also on the Bristol flight to Reus and had it confirmed that I would be receiving compensation, but still not received it yet 5 weeks later.
