GLADSTONES ARE DOING MY HEAD IN

Received a letter from gladstones demanding i pay £480 withing 28 days, i have 5 days left. Thing is i was not the registered owner of the vehicle when the fine was issued in fact the date was a whole year later than when i was the owner of the car. i have tried to tell gladstones that i have proof from DVLA

So you have written proof from the DVLA that you weren't the registered keeper of the vehicle at the time of the alleged parking event. Have I got that right?

What is the allegation being made?

Who is the parking company?

Hi, thank you for replying i was not able to finish my post since i didnt know how to edit it, it is my first time here, i have read a few posts regarding gladstones but i feel mine may be abit unique.

To answer your questions:

1. Yes i have legit proof from DVLA that the vehicle was not in my name when the fine was issued

2. The allegation is that the vehicle was parked in a private car park. i did not since i was not the driver and was not the registered keeper either

3. the parking company is euro parking services

i have no idea how to do this, i have been on the SAR website but cannot get my head around it

But have you emailed your proof to Gladstones and robustly told them to do one?

legit meaning a i have a letter requested from DVLA stating the dates from which i was NOT the registered owner of vehicle.

Hi, thank you for your reply 

i have asked gladstones if i could send in proof, they said it is too late to dispute and will need a solicitor im a student and cannot afford this at the moment

I think you mean "I have five days left to pay their speculative invoice before they raise a County Court Claim".

No-one other than a County Court can "stick a CCJ on your record".

You really need to read up a bit and get a handle on this. They CAN NOT "stick a CCJ on " your record. Do not let them bully you into believing anything like. It would have to go to court . and you would have to lose, AND not pay in time for anything to go on your record.

I would be very confident in your defence. They are simply trying to bully and frighten you into paying. Don't let them get away with it
