Lil_me, pop a note under the wiper, it's worth a try.Back on MSE again! to take control of my finances and not let it control me. :T May grocery challenge £41.96/1400

To be honest, I think if they can't see they are blocking the car in on the drive, I am wondering if they will see a note. I will discuss it with DP when he gets back, actually I doubt I will have chance as he'll be out knocking on doors to find out who's it is before I get out there. One day I might be more organised...........

Don't quite have time to read all the thread before i post, but - no big pink things here,
All well at my scan, and most probable we have a blue jelly bean on board. Have just finished texting the grandmothers and auntys to be, and have also taken charlie to a xmas party at playgroup as a bit of a last minute thing. He was quite excited to meet santa bless him.
The only negative thing is i have lost another 2kg in the past 5 weeks. So i have remedied that by having a hot roast pork sandwich with stuffing and apple sauce for lunch, followed by crisps, followed by scoffing some tree chocolates now. I dare say if i 'let' DH and MIL fatten me up a bit over christmas that will be a real hardship.
Charlie now having a nap - i could do with getting on the chicken stew we didn't have yesterday - had some doritos in the end as we had both had proper meals at lunch time. I've done a load of washing as well this morning so that is now to hang up, but i won't be doing a lot else today. I'm expecting DH to be really late home tonight as he didn't leave here for work till nearly 2.
Also want to catch up on here before i get charlie up again, so as i have now had my cuppa and warmed up, i'd best get on.

Lil_me - do you have a dropped kerb? I couldn't quite tell from the photo. If you have, you can call the police and have them done for causing an obstruction - particularly as your car is blocked in - £60 penalty fine I believe.
Well, my car is washed. I'd forgotten that it was silver. I'd also forgotten I have alloy wheels I got so used to them being black! But my feet are like lumps of ice now from standing in the car washing water so I chickened out of cleaning the inside.
A cup of tea is on the go, then I need to put the bits back in the bathroom.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Back from school for 18 days..
One child slapped (term used very loosely as I didn't want to break a nail.. they are expensive to replace! lol).. one child threatened within an inch of its life.. one more thing and she is in her PJ's.. one more thing after that and they are in bed!!.. I've only ever had to do it twice with 2 children. One VERY excited thinking santa is coming tonight.. I said he can't as it is dance class in the morning!
duvet hung out to 'dry' .. towels airing in the dryer.. jeans waiting to go in.. though I may sling those on the radiators.
You know.. I've done naff all today.. I really should do at least a little bit!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Michelle glad all went well at your scan, boys are lovely (unless they are 13 but hey that's in the future).
DS1 now outside practising cricket so peace reigns have made some dough for dough balls for tea, got some garlic butter - how do you make garlic butter - I just buy the little tubs but it can't be difficult - does it keep?
Going to wipe AGA top and sink over now.
Tonight writing cards with the fire on for kids and hubbie to hand deliver over the weekend.
Most of the food shopping list done - all basics just need to meal plan to check I have not forgotten anything. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Dusty, garlic butter is sooo easy to make - just soften some slightly salted butter (I do about half a small pack) then add two or three (or more, depending on your preference for garlic) crushed garlic cloves and cream the two together. It keeps a couple of days but doesn't half pong the fridge out unless you cover it really tightly!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
