Well that's the peace and quiet over now DS2 is finished for Christmas, much less of a dash on a morning for the rest of the week now as just DS1 to get ready & onto his bus.

Tinselfairy my fingers will be firmly crossed for you all tomorrow.

Right, dinner next for the kids, pizza followed by fruit (so I don't feel guilty about the pizza) we'll eat later as scoffed brekkie/lunch at 2pm. Need to leave by 5pm......car needs packing yet....I just know it's going to be chaos tonight so fingers crossed the boys behave. Suppose I best find them something to do for when they get bored.
One day I might be more organised...........

    OK, I smell poop...

Bin bags in car to go to tip, curtain poles out the back as they won't fit in car until seats are down and I don't know what else to do with them really.

I have just ran about, and that's all I got done? what?

Wonder if my brats will eat soup, don't even have any bread for them to fill up on... must add that to shopping list, must start shopping list then add that to shopping list. Also bog roll. Sorry, Toilet Paper cos we're posh like. Think I can market wet wipes that come in handy little packets and call them Bum Chums? Minty fresh for when your head is up your own bum, right where mine is at the moment.

    afternoon all

well i can report a successful day here so far in terms of packing! not finished but certainly broken the back of it! 3 friends came in the end and though one is not too well so can't do loads the other two got loads done. i ahve been mainly concentrating on the study which needs a lot of sorting as i go to work out what belongs to me, what to the church and what can be chucked! i reckon in the next hour before i go out i can really finish the current stuff we've been doing and sort out the study mainly. i'll be back about 9.30 so can do more then. removal guy coming to give me a quote at lunchtime tomorrow, though i'd like to ring another couple of places too. would also like to put xmas cards up tonight.

    so far have packed:
mugs & glasses (except for a few old ones to use until i move then chuck :D)
    most kitchen small appliances etc
    cookery books
    all novels
    new bedding
    cds & dvds
    all family photos
    all ornaments
    box of office stuff
all clothes & shoes (except for stuff needed til after honeymoon)

so i feel quite pleased really, thanks to fab friends!

Afternoon....can't believe it's nearly 6pm and this is the first time i've been on today. Got loads done though. Christmas carols at school this morning. Hubby had day off so we've wrapped EVERYTHING up for christmas for the children. All done and dusted...yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Christmas lights up inside and out. House is slowly getting more organised. Friday is my last day of tidying. Saturday i'm working and then Sunday i'm on strike for Christmas.

Love to all (espeically the poorly cat!)

    xx

CA and DLA are in! Now what can I buy?!!?!?!?!?
  • Wow to Rachel and LJD. Looking really good for you two.

Tia - do you need anything? Sounds like that money is burning a hole already just cos it can.

I have managed just over 3 hours of sleep in bed this afternoon. DH did the afternoon shift, so the living room is a real state again, but i don't care.

He is currently bathing charlie for me. I am going to do some school work, and then i think it will be something really easy on toast for dinner as we haven't eaten all day, and in bed for 9ish. I'm planning to go into work tomorrow at the moment seems though the world is no longer spinning. I don't want to miss the last 2 days.

Anyway, best make a start on the work or DH will be telling me off for not getting on while it is early so it is done early.

I'll send you my list tia :D

Had to get OH round to help me shift the pool table box, it's massive and mega heavy (why did I think it would be otherwise  ) he had a face like a slapped a*se and we argued about me switching gas suppliers, I've done it all wrong apparently, I just do what I like and shouldn't be on prepayment meters anyway (like I had £170pm to pay them DD's) and he said something what hurt me so I've had a cry (again) ... then littley decided to be a little diva so she's upstairs in a sulk cause I dragged her off the pc after slamming the drawer and shouting to me when I was in the other room. Nice tea-time today - NOT! lol

The joys of family life huh?! On the plus side I'm not stressing about the pool table anymore and I've only got 2 more pressies to buy, but I'll be getting those with Mondays (xmas eve) money, cutting it fine mind you......lol

Just about to go and clean up the mess I've made making the tea.

Pigpen did you have a nice dinner last night? meant to ask you earlier.

Hope you're feeling better tomorrow Michelle.
Embb - your day sounds like me last week!
    Hugs to you both.

Just seen another thread on OS saying to check your Amazon order as lots of stuff isn't being delivered in time for Christmas. Checked my order and guess what.... Luckily it's for DH and his birthday is in Feb so i'll give him that stuff for his birthday and pop to the local guitar shop for some extra bits for Christmas. Only need a few little bits for his stocking and then I REALLY need to call it a day on pressie buying.

Does anyone know if a dishwasher should be making noises like a plane taking off! It's seriously loud. Oh well, guess it's a luxury and we do have a sink! xx
