I've found pasta, pasta it is then can't get any easier than that!
That was a stroke of luck finding those euros soappie - excellent :T
TNT have just pulled up, pool table YAY0 -
Washing in and draped round, the heating comes on soon so it should finish off in about an hour and I can fold it and put it away. Washed the cats blankets too and then put the machine on empty with some vinegar to clean the pipes and get the hairs out!
I'm waiting for a parcel too that somebody has sent me but it's been a week now and no sign. I hate waiting for things to come, can't relax.
Had DS on the phone asking what he can buy people. Told him eldest sister will be on holiday so not to bother about her - didn't say she hasn't bought him anything. Some years he doesn't bother and he never remembers birthdays so his sisters don't worry about him now. I've left a note for his younger sister to warn her to get him something!
He's supposed to be getting the keys to his flat tomorrow so he's been more excited about that.0 -
embb... I just changed from powergen to scottish power as well.. they are cheaper per kWh as well which is a bonus.. I may not get tesco clubcard points with these but they should save me more anyway!
Cuppa and away to fly some more!!
The children are really happy to see the bunnies back in the back room though I am still unsure about them being on the table.. I think a smaller coffee table height thing would be better.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I['m with Scottish Hyro - were cheapest for me and again when I rechecked - I'll check again in Jan.
I am really cold today - don't have my thermals on.
I have the swimming run to do in a minute. Thinking of giving it a rest until April term as I hate coming back in the cold/dark.
Need a cuppa first.
Tia I have always wanted to be able to moon walk! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Got snots and grots, wish I hadn't bothered... DS2 threw a huge strop in the paly ground so I looked like an idiot as he kept trying to interrupt the teacher while running away from me. As robo-santa in futurama said "I'm going to shove coal so far up your stocking you will be coughing out diamonds!" Or something.
Now DS2 is throwing a strop because his biscuit is broken in half! Oh my goodness, call the police, his biscuit is broken in half!
Got the car washed woohoo!
Starting a soup pot for dinner or freezer or whatever, not bothered. Got chicken and veggies from last nights roast chicken, and some wilty leeks, half a turnip a carrot maybe... Will call it tia's boom-boom soup.
Dusty, I'm with you. I have pulled DS1 from swimming right now too. Nightmare getting parked, he was put in a different day (meaning a different pool and the waiting/viewing area is not suitable for DS2) and I just can't be arsed.
Drinks all round, what's you poison?0 -
We the undersigned will not let our Christmas be spoilt by trying to be everything to everyone, if our homes are not 100% perfect then let it be our friends and family want to see us not our cleaning/flying skills. We will do our best and sod the rest Happy Christmas everyone

Hi everyone
Just can't concentrate on lists and things to do at the mo.
We've got a visit by a social work team tomorrow who are considering us.
If it's a no then realistically that's our last chance gone as we gave ourselves a self imposed cut off date of the end of the year as we've come so close twice already and the stress is too much!
So once tomorrow is done I'm hoping my head will be clearer and I can look at what still needs to be achieved. Don't think it's too bad, may be in for a shock though!
likklegibbon- so sorry to hear about your break in, that must have been dreadful to come home to.
Hugs to all those with poorly children or who aren't feeling too bright themselves.
Congrats on being debt free tia. :T
Thanks for all the lovely cards I've receieved.
Be back later in the week with a less muddled head....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.
Georgie Burne-Jones0 -
Just got my Chrissie cards written - now for a quick swim in the tub before getting ready for the night shift.
Will update my list laterI'd rather be watching CSI!0 -
*scream*
aaahhhh.. that's better.. virtual screaming is SO much better for my throat than the real thing.. and reaches more people..
The table the rabbits are on... is going back in the corner and hubby is knocking together a coffee table thing for them.. I have children making a 'den' under it.. mess I can't see or get to but KNOW it is there!!
I have to go to tesco later for a cake for DD3 and bits for a 'party' I've managed to con my mother into loaning me £50.. I hate borrowing money but.. needs must.
Tia.. I'll have a triple vodka with lemonade.. no ice or lemon! Fast hit with little time and effort!
I need a work party in this back room!!!!!!!!!
More tea I think!! lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Oh.. I have things left on my list from yesterday.. I'll make a stab at those now I think...
The chimps can be writing their cards.. and when DD1 gets in I'll throw paper, sellotape and scissors at her.. and I'm a REALLY good shot!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I've got a couple more things on the list crossed off now, did the window in the living room and the outside still needs doing, but I reckon the window cleaners are due here any day.
Kids got back in an argumentative mood, left me feeling (and acting) the martyr until I checked myself and put a stop to it as soon as I noticed. I'm doing this for me! They aren't to blame. I just find resentment starts brewing when hubby is on the Wii and I'm up a chair doing the window, and someone starts calling out from another room but none of the others can be bothered to find out what they want, let alone the child in question be bothered to come and open the door and tell us that they wanted to eat a fig. Lol sounds complicated but really it wasn't.
Gonna watch DOND and then do some mini tasks :T
