Piles of stuff in the sitting room for the charity night tonight. Think we have everything. I think we could raise over £1500as long as those who say they are turn up and we sell the rest of these raffle tickets. Christmas cake and pies got, some nice Santa napkins to serve on too

good 30mins there,
[STRIKE]
hoover through
clean sofa's properly
moisturise sofa's
clean window
polish TV and stand
Polish tables and book shelf
Tidy under the tree[/STRIKE]
Still lots to do, but time to go get snits and grots. See you about 3.30pm
Is red bull and star drops any good? I figure stardrops is bitter (and too much is toxic) so we could use it to make long vodka's instead of angry-stoory bitters.0 -

Just changed my gas/elec supplier, Powergen are being a*ses about taking my prepayment meter off so stuff 'em I'd rather pay Scottish Power lol
Still haven't decided what to do for tea, thing is I really don't fancy making anything so I'm looking for the easiest option and I've got none, none that doesn't involve peeling spuds anyhoo.
How are you all getting along on the Quidco challenge?0 -
Back from a marathon shop. Had to go back to the car twice to drop off bags as there were so many! For once, I paid for everything in cash.
During my big tidy up at the weekend, I discovered a whole wad of Euros in a bag I hadn't seen for ages. I'd got them when I was expecting to go on a business trip to Strasbourg, but the trip got cancelled (Feb 2006!!!). I'd completely forgotten about them!:o So, cashed them in at the post office (no commission fee) and used that money to do the shopping.
Have just had a belated lunch (HM tuna sandwich) and am finishing off a cup of tea then will have to go and unpack everything. It was quite funny when I was unloading all the bags from the car to the hallway - the dog immediately dived into one, ignoring all the others - of course, it was the one with her Christmas doggy treats in - I shall have to put that up somewhere high for the week.
