    Learn from our great- grandparents who survived winters despite living in homes that did not have central heating . They used 100% wool blankets .
    I suspect that if they'd had polyester they'd have given their wool blankets to the livestock.
    Wool blankets have their uses - they're a much better choice if you're around open fires, for example - but in most domestic applications a duvet or fleece will be cheaper, lighter, warmer and easier to care for.

    wool is also itchy and plays havok with my skin. i'll stick to my nice light weight fleeces thanks.

    Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.
